"Nice clean rooms and good breakfast in a former monastery, but unfortunately the place has lost its religious aura and spirituality; it has been transformed into a secular center where various groups offer educational courses. Rooms had less wood and more concrete than expected. The church had strict opening hours and was only accessible with a museum ticket. Definitely not a place inviting for meditation or prayer, as it had been intended when it was built. Electric cars can be charged at cost...

"We only spent the one night here but this would be perfect place for a longer stay. It has everything you you want. Don’t get me wrong it’s still good for a single nights stay. It is spacious, very comfortable furnishings and within walking distance of restaurants, shops and The Falls. "Beautiful historic hotel located right on the Rhine river and on the edge of the gorgeous old town of Stein am Rhine. The town was quaint and lovely. The room was modern and comfortable with amazing views of the river. Restaurants walkable. But the most amazing thing about this stay was the staff. So pleasant and kind. They came in special in the morning to make us breakfast and it was fantastic! I can’t wait to come back here. If you get the chance definitely stay here "

"Pros:location is ok (15 min walk to centre) nice outdoor and restaurant area. Clean. Cons: the room is like a sauna in summer as its so small and is in the roof with a sky light. Overpriced for a bunk bed and shared bathroom. No kitchen. The shower turns off after about a minute but you can just keep pressing the button. "

"Well, if you want to visit Schaffhausen, and who wouldn't, this is certainly the place to stay if you are either driving on coming by train. The parking is next door, as is the station. Room was large, clean and comfortable and the hotel's restaurant/bar really nice. It is convenient to everything, and walking distance to all you would want to see. A fantastic place to visit and to stay. Would highly recomment do anyone."
