"One night stay to avail of Kilculllen's Seaweed baths. Everything excellent as expected. Double room this time, find it more comfortable than the family room. Great hotel and great value on certain days, no doubt I pick those days!!"

"So our stay started off great! Lovey spacious family room with a smart tv to watch Netflix on so kids were delighted. However at around 12.30am the couple next door decided to have a domestic and our kids got scared listening to this. Adam the night porter moved us to another room within minutes of asking him. The room we got to smelled of smoke and paint which wasn’t ideal however the next morning we were moved to a similar room from the first night! In fairness the hotel couldn’t know that 2 w**kers would start killing each other but they done absolutely everything they could to facilitate us! Dinner was beautiful breakfast had a lot of choices and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly! I would recommend anyone to stay here it’s just outside the town so there’s no noise at night and a good nights sleep is guaranteed considering no one decides to be Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson next door to you!! Thank you to everyone for your enjoyable and easy stay. We will be back again !!!"

"Staff very attentive and friendly in lounge/restaurant at night and at breakfast following morning. Plenty to do in Tubercurry including a theatre. The car park is at the back of property so you have to come in a back door and go all the way through breakfast room and lounge to get to reception. No heating on in room when we arrived and took a while to heat but was lovely and cosy then. Double bed ok for one but not so comfortable for two. Pillows were good tho. "

"If you like a modern hotel this is not the place for you. It is full of interesting old memorabilia and history. I have never come across such personable friendly staff. Fabulous meals in both the restaurant and the cafe. "

"This was such a wonderful experience to have the opportunity to stay in a beautiful and lovingly restored period home. It truly was like taking a step back in time and like staying in a museum! Trudy was absolutely fantastic and I am so impressed with how she has cared for this home and that she opens it up for others to enjoy this property. My favorite parts were playing the piano by the fire in the living room each night and having our path home blocked by sheep one morning. This is such a special town and a true gem. Thank you, Trudy!"

"The location and accommodations are wonderful but the pdf instructions from the owner appear to be out-dated and a little confusing. The directions state that guests need to replace wood or peat used for the tiny stove in the living room - but there were no instructions on where to obtain the replacement fuel. It also seemed unreasonable to ask guests to take their garbage away with them (not just place in a bin outside, but take it away from the premises), and to check the electric meter upon arrival and departure so as to pay for the electricity used. Those sorts of services should just be included in the overall price of the stay in my opinion. Despite those slight confusions, we enjoyed our stay in the cottage and found the wildlife (birds and a fox) enchanting. The nights were extremely peaceful and the surroundings picturesque! "
