We came to Ensenada because we’ve been to Rocky Point multiple times and were told the seafood is better here - true it is. However, where we stayed is not resort quality. It’s built by people who wanted beachfront. If your vacation has to do with being near the bufadora then it’s perfect. If you want to be close to Ensenada, then It’s around 40 mins. away. With the directions, they’re a little confusing. So if you initially put in Mama Bear’s pizza it gets you a lot closer to the KM12 marker. The dirt road actually is a lot longer than thought. Might have been easier for us to find if we were there before the sun set, but we found it. We wouldn’t rent this home again ONLY because of the bathrooms. Silly to say, but because they were the tandem type and couldn’t really be securely locked for toilet area , we were a little uneasy. Also no bathtubs for little kiddos. But otherwise the house is a beach house intended to be enjoyed for the beach.
There is no dishwasher if that’s a thing for you. And the children’s room, while still accessible thru the home, has a separate entrance. And no ladder for the bunk bed.
The laundry room we didn’t need to use but the machines looked in relatively good condition but the room itself, well it needs a little help.
The parking is out on the street. Nothing secure.
Philip is a wonderful host and I’m sure if we had, had any real problems he would’ve helped. All in all it’s a quaint place to stay. And as long as you’re not expecting resort style amenities then you’ll enjoy yourself here.
