Visit the Eptek Art and Culture Centre for insights into the artistic culture of Charlottetown and Prince Edward Island. The center offers a platform for regional artists to showcase and sell their work. Browse displays of art and handicrafts and attend demonstrations of various artistic mediums. Eptek Art and Culture Centre is one of seven locations that make up the Prince Edward Island Museum and Heritage Foundation.

The center has one exhibition room that hosts rotating installations. Some of the items that you might find include multicolored and patterned quilts, sculptures made from recycled metals, portraits of local residents and fiber art. Many exhibits are directly related to the indigenous peoples of Canada and the cultural history of the island.

Come in summer, when artists and artisans hold demonstrations of their work. Learn about everything from basket assemblage and weaving to metalwork, spinning and rug hooking. In the winter, watch travel-related movies and be part of a community book club.

Before you leave the center, visit the gift shop. Make your selections from a variety of handicrafts and souvenirs. Objects that are related to the current exhibits are also often available to purchase.

Located at Summerside Harbour, the center is a short walk from the heart of Summerside. It is adjacent to the Harbourfront Theatre, which puts on live music shows and theatrical productions. Park for free outside the center. Also nearby is Spinnakers Landing, a lively dining, entertainment and retail marketplace.
