"Pros: - Great location right in the center of town - Nicely sized apartment - Apartment itself was very clean Cons: - The process of getting the key in the back of the building for the key lockbox and finding your way to the front wasn't fun. - The curtains let in no light. Sheer curtains would have been better - The entry to the building had a nasty smell. - Bedroom needs a chair."

The owners responded immediately to any questions and were so helpful.....providing me with antiseptic and bandages when I had a fall, going to a nearby restaurant and helping us order since I don’t speak German and generally being very pleasant and friendly. "We stayed in the smallest room that was just fine for 2 people. The room had a very small kitchen area that had enough utensils for us to prepare our own simple meals. Wifi was great but tv wasn’t able to connect to anything so we used our own devices for downtime entertainment. "

"Beautiful place that was plenty of room for my family of 6. The beauty of Germany surrounded us in each direction as we walked around outside the property. Walking distance to the grocery store, bank, Biergarten and pharmacy is a huge convenience. Silvia was an excellent host and more than accomodating and very kind. We will stay here each time we visit family in the Lengfurt area. Highly recommend. Also, parking with room for two cars in the driveway in front of the house was a huge plus. "

"A very nice hotel located only a few minutes walk from the center of town. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and definitely worth buying or adding on as an option when you book. Parking was easy and spacious. The hotel was very clean (apart from the shower head that had a lot of mineral build up which I cleaned off myself to improve the water pressure in the shower). Located right across the road from a school but we didn't experience any noise problems...

"A tall modern hotel near the train station - it is one stop more or less on a tram from the train station, and close enough to walk unless you have oppressive amounts of baggage. Nice breakfast, but not much in the way of dining around that I saw. There was a Lidl across the street where you can get inexpensive food to eat in your room. "I stayed at the Barthels for two nights, arriving after a very long drive and immediately being able to relax. It’s clean, modern, and comfortable and in an incredible location right in the heart of the old town of Würzburg - I could see the cathedral dome right outside my window! Despite that, it wasn’t noisy and I wasn’t ever woken up to the sound of church bells chiming or street noise. There’s no parking at the hotel but there are so many car parks nearby it wasn’t a problem, and I enjoyed the walk across the Old Bridge every morning to the place I’d chosen to park. The staff were friendly and the overall vibe was great. Würzburg is a pretty city and The Barthels was the perfect base to explore it from."

"Hotel was conveniently located close to the train station and city centre. Hotel room was very elegant with a comfortable bed, big TV and nice city view from the window. Breakfast was pricey at 18 Euros but very good. Nice staff, I wish we had stayed a bit longer."
