"A truly relaxing property. Huge, beautiful gardens provided the most serene setting for sitting out under the olive trees. A large pool where you could really get your laps in and lemon and lime trees with an abundance of fruit to pick. The house was very traditional. Lots of space and a very quirky ground floor. The pictures on Vrbo don't do it justice. The hosts made us very welcome and were very flexible with checking in early. Response times were great as we got a bit lost trying to find the...

"On a road that is only accessible from one direction for a car, hence find Lidl first. Sat Nav takes you down a too narrow road for car from other direction."

"Lovely clean property and owners went out of their way to welcome us and help make our holiday special. Great setting in view of the sea in an unspoilt part of Portugal. Only a short drive to the city delights of Porto (I recommend parking in Matosinhos and catching public transport or the hop-on buses) and Viana do Castelo worth a visit."

"We had a splendid stay. The house was just as described. All amenities described were provided. The owner, Filipe, is very responsive and helpful with any questions. We had no issues. We enjoyed the peacefulness yet close to town. As for the driveway from precious comments, yes it is steep, but we had no issues at all! We followed Felipe’s advice and we were fine."

"It was a very nice stay. Friendly hosts. Clean and comfortable home nice shared green space. The beach and board walk was great and led to awesome restaurants in both directions. The only down side is it is a little isolated with out a car but there is a bus near by and taxis are available and under 10 euros to get to town "

Por la noche refresca bastante A tener en cuenta el ruido de la carretera pegada a la casa, muy transitada, y los ladridos de los perros de las casas de la zona toda la noche... It’s well-equipped and perfect for relaxing by the pool after exploring nearby Porto, Braga, and Guimarães. Fresh bread delivered daily adds a lovely touch. The host, Virginia, is warm and welcoming, offering helpful local tips. The serene setting and excellent location make it ideal for a relaxing stay with easy access to local attractions. 100% recommended!"

"We had a great stay at the Pool House. Easy to find with Google Maps, our arrival was painless. Carlos, and his father, were welcoming and helpful. The house is comfortable and had all we needed. The pool was great. Ten minute walk into the local village: supermarket, pharmacy, bars. Twenty minute walk to the Atlantic Ocean. Great place from which to explore northern Portugal. We enjoyed our time there. Easily recommended."
