A spacious home in the towering redwoods awaits as you meander up a hilly, private lane. We are situated in a pastoral setting, minutes from Highway 101 and equidistant from the cities of Eureka and Arcata (approximately 10 minutes from each). Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway, or a family vacation, we offer all the amenities of home and then some!

Our two-story redwood home is surrounded by an extensive deck, perfect for relaxing after a day spent exploring the North Coast. Prepare a meal of fresh, locally caught seafood and organically grown produce in our well-equipped kitchen. Let the sounds of nature lull you to sleep while you repose in a spacious bedroom with quality linens. Both bedrooms have vaulted ceilings - one with a king bed and the other with a queen and twin bed. The downstairs office provides a quiet space and hosts an ottoman that opens into a comfortable single bed.

Humboldt County is renowned as a haven for nature lovers. With year round mild climate, and scenic vistas, see why we are listed as the second most desirable county in the country! Our home is well-situated to access local beaches, Redwood National Park, Humboldt State University, Victorian Ferndale and many other unique places. We are delighted to share our home with you!

Great Place in the Woods
What a great property in the woods. It was perfect for our family visit to northern California to check out the Redwoods and more. Very quiet with plenty of space to relax and a very well-equipped kitchen with everything needed to feel like we were home.

Redwood heaven!
This property is amazing, just perfect! My family and I were in town for a family wedding, and this place gave us plenty of room to spread out. The decorations are so cute, it is so warm and inviting. The outside property is gorgeous, we even had a mama deer and her baby come and eat the grass outside every morning. It was so fun to watch them! If I am ever back in this area again, I would definitely rent this property. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Amazing Get Away!
What a wonderful and cozy place to stay! The home has everything we could possibly need, in the middle of all the trees! The kitchen was well stocked, the couches and bed were very comfortable, and the heat worked great! I loved the claw-foot bathtub and sitting on the back deck looking out to all the trees. We also loved the location, being so close to Eureka and Arcata, but feeling out in the country at the same time. Thank you so much!!

Beautiful hidden forest cabin
The house was beautiful and the grounds were all green and forest and flowers. Our favorite part was the large kitchen where we made all our meals. The bedrooms had gorgeous views through unique windows and the beds were really comfortable. The hosts were pleasant and always responded promptly.

Absolutely PERFECT - close to everything but felt remote
We couldn’t be happier with our stay at this gorgeous home! It is so conveniently located a few minutes from 101 between Arcata & Eureka but up in the forest surrounded by trees & beautiful landscaping. Great home base for exploring Redwood NP to the north and Humboldt Redwoods SP to the south. Lots of great hiking trails just 10 min away too. First time we’ve been to a rental that had any instruments let alone both a piano and guitar. Great outdoor areas to soak up nature and great views inside too. I loved the combination of antique (eg claw foot tub) and modern comforts including great WiFi. The kitchen had everything too! Communication with owner/mgr was easy and prompt! Would definitely stay here again if we are lucky enough to return!

Wonderful stay!
Beautiful property, very homey and comfortable. The kitchen has so many supplies, spices, tea and coffee. This is the best part of VRBO-we felt like we were staying with friends! I highly recommend this house.

Beautifully Tranquil House in the Redwoods
I am SO happy we were able to stay in this wonderful home nestled amongst the redwoods. Perfect for me and my family to use as a base of operations for getting out to visit and reconnect with friends and family in the area. The small touches of warmth and welcome were abundant and appreciated, and communication was caring, kind and prompt. We did have a few issues with our stay. Apparently there was a " SCHEDULED 7hr pge maintenance" on our 2nd day. We were not notified by the owner until 8am that same morning. Which meant no utilities/power/water (showers)etc. all day. Upon returning to the house (5pm) after our day, we still had no water! I feel that if this was a Scheduled Maintenance we needed to be informed sooner that the day of! Regarding this inconvenience I feel the owner could have offered to compensated us in some way or even apologized for this inconvenience, we received neither. Also, the downstairs shower really needs to be updated. the shower head would not stay in one position. There were no safety/grab bars in the stall, this really is a safety issue! This is my our second time using a vrbo, I would not stay here in the future.

Off the beaten path on a hilly one lane road but fairly convenient to area activities. The lay out was unusual with stairs here and there on the main floor. Did not expect that upstairs was heated by space heaters.

Wonderful retreat
Our family stayed in beautiful Redwood Haven during our daughter's graduation weekend. What a peaceful retreat it was, a wonderful reprieve from our city life! The property is hemmed in by gorgeous, giant redwoods; we enjoyed morning coffee and sunsets daily from the deck with only the sound of birds and nature, so relaxing! We also enjoyed the immense selection of books in many rooms. The home had everything we needed for our stay and Teresa was a wonderful host with some sweet personal touches. We will treasure our framed leaf and hope to be back again in the future! Thank you for sharing your special place with us.

This house was perfect for us to call home while exploring the Redwoods and the shorelines. It was so quiet and clean, extremely comfortable and had everything you need to relax, cook, eat and sleep. The beds were wonderful and we slept great every night. A huge bonus were the binders our host put together regarding dining, activities, places to visit and outdoor activities. They included brochures and maps that allowed us to quickly find things to do on the one rainy day and the maps were invaluable for finding hiking trails in the Redwoods and access to the beaches and shorelines. In all I would rate this property a solid 10 and will return to this home when we come back for another visit to the big trees.

A haven indeed.
A perfect get away for our little family for the holidays. The house was warm when we arrived, with a fire burning to welcome us. Everything was easy, from walks in the Arcata redwoods and marshes, to cooking in the well-stocked kitchen. Communication was always prompt and clear. Truly wonderful.

Perfect location. Close to airport and town yet tucked away from civilization. Perfectly located to visit a number of Redwood parks and explore the Pacific coast highway. There is even a small local zoo to enjoy. House had all the necessities and was a perfect place to relax
