Not to far from tram line, would recommend car hire as it’s about 30-40mins from Berlin city, closest shops are about 30 mins walk away. No air con, house is made of wood so does get hot in the day, got the pool to cool off tho so it was fine."

It is a little bit retired from the center, but public transportation is excellent around the area (and in Germany in general). "Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und sehr liebevoll und schön eingerichtet. Etwas schade ist, dass das Haus sehr dicht an der Straße gebaut ist, so dass man trotz Lage im Grünen in den Schlafräumen einiges vom Straßenverkehr mitbekommt. Zudem gibt es leider keine Möglichkeit direkt draußen im Garten zu sitzen. Es gibt eine große Dachterrasse, die vom ersten Stock über die Küche betreten werden kann oder von außen über eine Treppe."

As my sister has sleep apnea and snores LOUDLY, I was unable to use the sleeper sofa in the other “bedroom” and had to sleep in the living room on the loveseat, which was not very comfortable for sleeping. "This place is incredibly charming. The morning breakfast is very German, and the staff are very kind and welcoming. I felt like as though i walked into a building that wouldve been modern 500 years ago, and I loved it. The stairs are steep, and not ADA accessible in any way, but I appreciated that aswell. Overall a lovely stay. Transportation: If youre renting a car, theynhave free parking. There are bus stops nearby (5 minute walk) and a bike rental that I didnt get to check out. My primary reason for this stay was for the German experience, the staff do happen to speak some english, but its definitely easier to communicate in German, so study up if youre an Ausländer!"

"Great place. All the amenities you need for a week stay with family. A truly wonderful stay!

"My two teenage boys and I had a lovely time at this beautiful place. Our hosts were so friendly and really went the extra mile to make us feel at home and show us around. The village was stunning and fabulously quiet - we saw hummingbird moths, birds of prey and murmurations of starlings. As a base from which to explore Berlin some days and be able to return to rural tranquillity in the evenings, it was great, with good public transport links. I particularly loved just sitting outside to have my morning cup of coffee and drink in the surroundings."

If you are looking for typical air-conditioned home, you might be disappointed. The pool is small, but coming to Berlin is not the place to stay in a pool. Lots of conveniences stores and supermarkets, restaurants are decent around the area. The owner does not speak English but we did not have any problem communicating with them. really nice place. The Garden is a dream!!"
