"The indoor pool is fantastic, and the hotel itself is excellent, located in a prime spot. We’re already planning to return next year! The only areas for improvement are the breakfast buffet, which includes a mandatory tip that makes it quite expensive, and the valet parking. The valet service is occasionally understaffed, leading to hectic service."

"Basecamp South Lake Tahoe is quaint, clean and convenient to the center of town and Heavenly Village. My kids and I stayed 2 nights. The breakfast offered in the front office/ lobby was great and surprisingly not super expensive. Bonus- they also have a water station in the lobby so you can refill water bottles if you are here to hike or ski. There are 2 hot tubs on the property… and fire pits where you can roast marshmallows or just relax. I would recommend the property. "

"I was really impressed by the rooms, especially because this was more of an economical option in South Lake Tahoe. The room was like a mini-studio that provided a little bit of separation between the "living room" and the bedroom, including a curtain. The little kitchenette was perfect for us and the bathroom was great, especially the double showers. I also loved the Secret Garden area for our dog - a place for them to do their business. Free breakfast was fine and my daughter loved the free...

"Room is spacious and clean! Free coffee, tea, and breakfast is provided. It is really close to the shopping area and restaurants. Very convenient! Would like to stay here again for next visit."

"The hotel was kind of older building. They charge $74 per night for parking middle of nowhere. I would have parked 20’ away on the street. The facility fee and parking was $107 per night. It is outrageous. "
