"Our host Karolina was very pleasant and friendly. The cottage was adorable. The location was between towns, Burgaus and Luz. We easily walked to one and could have taken a longer walk to the other. Beaches nearby were lovely and the cliffs spectacular."

"The bed was very comfortable. The apartment had everything we needed and more. We loved it here. Only one word of caution for older travelers: the stairs in the apartment can be treacherous. I fell down twice before I got the hang of it. "

"The pool was closed and has been for some time as they are rebuilding it. This was not advertised when booking nor was it communicated to us afterwards. Bike hire and meals also need to be arranged the day before , again this wasn't communicated to us when booking or when speaking to the reception on the phone prior to arriving. It's a lovely village but I think it's not ok to advertise facilities that aren't available as this was a big reason why we chose it. I would definitely go again though...

"The hot tub which we were looking forward to using, was indoors in the bathroom and when we arrived we were told that it wasn't working. A big disappointment which spoilt the holiday.
When we saw the advert there was a TV but actually there wasn't one there (also disappointing) and we think it has now been removed from the description.
The parking space is unlit so in the dark we had to leave the car headlights on to see where we were going until we could put the house lights on.

"This is our second visit to this villa, Maria who takes care of the property on behalf of the owner is on hand and nothing is too much trouble. It’s in walking distance to Intermarche for groceries, 2 minutes to a restaurant and 10 minutes to a cafe. Patricia is quick to answer any questions, we messaged asking for coasters and an outside ashtray which we found left outside the door within a few hours. "We have stayed several times in Lagos but this was the perfect place for us. The property is just outside Lagos but beaches town and supermarkets are all about aten minute drive away. The setting is very peaceful and quiet so ideal for relaxing outside and looking out at the wonderful views. If you are feeling active you can quickly access the coastal path and walk to the beach. Simon and Ana Maria are wonderful hosts and ensure you have all you need. We look forward to our next stay there...

"The Chef here greeted us on arrival and was always around to recommend dishes and cook to your liking. The staff were attentive and friendly. The grounds have a peaceful feeling with fruit groves. "Absolutely lovely stay. Marina view rooms are beautiful. Staff are so friendly, breakfast is incredible with so much choice of hot and cold, bed is maybe a little harder than Ilike but that's life. "

"Salema is so very beautiful. Our villa had three different levels to view the town including a spiral staircase to the rooftop which was perfect for viewing the star-filled sky as well as gorgeous sunrise over the water. The beach is a short walk away and there is a wonderful local pastry shop run by Marta (I believe that was her name) not too far away with very reasonable and delicious baked goods. The only negative was that our next door neighbors were loud (but it was also New Year’s Eve so it was understandable). We really loved our stay besides that. Welcoming the new year in Salema and spending the first day of the new year at the beach was a perfect start to 2025. "
