Mind blown and not in the good way
The property is actually a UL listed and serial numbered 1969 mobile home. Immediately upon entry the unit smelled old and musty. Several soft spots in the floors. No secure lock on door I.E deadbolt, just a basic door lock. No readily visible, available fire extinguisher. We basically shrugged our shoulders and just was going to chalk it up to a less than great experience. However starting this morning we started receiving concerning information. We were told that we had checked out early, like at 7am. We weren’t even out of bed until after 8am. We went and had breakfast. We returned to the property and then left with our belongings. It’s shortly after that we received word from the owner that a modem and a router, were damaged. We never touched, nor used in any capacity the aforementioned equipment. We have global access to the internet via our devices and do not need to piggy back on anyone’s system. Nor would I even use a system that I do not know and trust. Additionally the owner is trying to charge us for this damage to something we never even touched or used. The owner is also trying to charge us for a late check out that never occurred. We have electronic proof of our comings and goings via the location app as well having absolute proof via Vrbo that none of OUR devices in anyway initiated an early checkout that we’re now being charged a fee for.
We have used before and are aghast at this 1st experience on Vrbo. We broke nor used said equipment. We refute this.
