Breathtaking and tranquil cape-cod home overlooking Lunenburg Bay. Enjoy the oceanfront at your doorstep. Spectacular views of the open ocean from every room. Spacious and bright home with a gourmet kitchen and modern amenities. Relax with our wood burning fireplace or in the Adirondack chairs on the stone patio. A great location for all Nova Scotia has to offer - minutes from Spindler’s Beach, the Ovens Natural Park, Hirtle’s Beach, Old Town Lunenburg, and sea kayaking in Blue Rocks.

Our property has the perfect “Nova Scotia” experience. Featuring 275 ft. of direct elevated and private ocean front with a small private sandy beach at low tide, every view from the cottage features a panoramic view of the open ocean.

Natural light floods the space making the house feel light, open and airy. Located on a quiet dead-end road, our house is the perfect place to relax, catch up on a good book or spend quality time with friends or family.

Our fully appointed kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals (or a lobster supper!). Grill some local seafood on the BBQ while you watch the Bluenose II sail past, or sit back and relax with a drink in an Adirondack chair on our stone patio and take in the views and the sounds of the ocean. You may even be visited by a friendly seal or the neighborhood deer!

Rent bicycles at the local cycle shop or Kayaks in nearby Blue Rocks and explore all the area has to offer, including The Ovens Park, known for its sea caves, coastal cliffs and nature trails.

Situated on a picture perfect peninsula, the property is a 15 minute drive from the historic town of Lunenburg with picturesque shops, restaurants and even a local distillery. Many beaches are nearby, featuring some of the best waves and many seashell treasures.

Featuring open concept living, 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms and breathtaking views, our home is well appointed for all your vacation needs. All bedding and towels are supplied, a BBQ is available during the summer months for our guests use, and an indoor fireplace stocked with firewood is a cozy option on cooler nights.

Fully stocked for your use with towels, linens and blankets, firewood and kindling, shampoo/gel, please feel free to make use of these home comforts during your stay.

Scenic Views & Attentive Hosts
Alana & Chuck's home is perfectly situated in picturesque Lunenberg. There are beautiful views of the bay from every room in the house! We found everything we needed to cook gourmet meals during the holiday week and ended our evenings with a well-stocked fireplace. Alana & Chuck were extremely friendly and attentive to any questions we had prior to our arrival and during our stay. We loved being there!

Lovely holiday home with an unbeatable location. The property is exactly as described and pictured. Everything is new and well-maintained. Very comfortable beds, lovely sitting areas, amazing patio and a very good BBQ. We had a little trouble with the entry code, but the owner corrected the problem within 10 minutes of getting our text.

We loved our stay here! We really enjoying sitting outside and taking in the view. The surrounding area was fun to explore and our kids loved the RoseBay Store and Bistro only 5 min away. Alana was a fantastic host. Very quick to respond to any questions or requests. We hope to return.

This is a beautiful home, in an even more beautiful location. You can't beat being right on the water! The home was clean for the most part, sheets and towels were clean and in good condition, kitchen was clean etc. However, this was my second time I've visited and both times I noticed the home could really benefit from a good overall cleaning (get rid of cobwebs, dust, shower tile deep-clean, clear the many dead bugs from between windows and screens. etc.). However, that wasn't a big enough deal to keep me from returning and my friends and I really enjoyed our stay.

We feel so lucky to have found this spot. So beautiful being right on the water, it was better just being there than going to some of the tourist spots we saw!! Fabulous seaside location!

A magical place
House on the Ocean is a magical place for a vacation. Placement is perfect for watching seals, dolphins and the Bluenose II sail by from your large picture windows. Local must see attractions in Rose Bay, Lunenburg and Mahone Bay are an easy drive. House is well appointed.

Great place for a relaxing getaway!
My husband and I loved visiting the Lunenburg area and this spot was just perfect. The house was very well equipped, beds were comfy, and the view...spectacular! We really enjoyed watching the lobster boats come and go and the sunrises/sunsets -- hope to return someday.

We rented this property for a gathering of nephews and niece from Halifax, Spain, and Montreal. We are from the prairies. The house was the perfect sport for us to get together - gorgeous view in every direction and positive vibes throughout the home. We found lots to do in the area plus enjoyed cooking together and hanging out. The home is really well-equipped and a lovely space. Everybody loved the place.

Cottage with a great view
The cottage offers a great view. I gave a 4 star because it could have been cleaner. There was a layer of dust when we checked in and assorted bugs were stuck on outside window screen.

Incredible and relaxing vacation
My husband and infant son and I had an incredible stay at Alana's property. The views are amazing from every single room. We enjoyed sitting outside and watching the dolphins and seals every night with a glass of wine. Location is perfect - just minutes outside town but far enough away for quiet. Alana was a fantastic host, and check in and check out was easy. The rental is perfect for a family. We will likely rent again next summer!

This home exceeded our expectations: beautiful, quiet and truly tranquil. I stayed here with my dad and two teenaged sons and we all had a lovely time. Beautiful property
Myself and 3 friends stayed for 2 nights for a relaxing get-away. We were impressed with the beauty of the place inside and out. We saw seals, porpoises and herons from the panoramic ocean view in the kitchen. The house was clean and comfortable with a modern kitchen and bathrooms. Highly recommend this place!
