"The hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly. Our room was at the rear of the hotel and so we had a lovely view of the surrounding countryside. A very delicious breakfast was included in the tariff. We stayed there for four days and included in those four days was an 80th birthday party. The catering for the birthday reflected the very high quality of the service we experienced during our stay. My wife and I would definitely stay again should we visit from Australia."

"Nice friendly pub to the west of Huddersfield. Only have 5? rooms to let but very clean with bath as well as a shower (nice to have the option). Good selection of of beers, great staff and food available (even though I didn't get time to eat there). A Co-op supermarket and chippy across the road and other takeaways within a stones throw. A bus stop is directly outside for regular services into town or out to Slaithwaite, Halifax etc.(across the road), but beware that nothing runs much after 11pm...

"The room was modern and spotlessly clean, although compact; kettle, beverages, hairdryer and ironing board provided, along with a good supply of coat hangers in the wardrobe. Very comfortable bed and an excellent shower. A slight downside was that the rear access (fire escape) and kitchen extractor system were right outside our window, so a bit noisy in the late evening and early morning. However, this was more than compensated for by the friendly, helpful staff, who really did cheerfully...

"Stayed here as attending a family wedding in Stanisland, this hotel was perfect location with only being approximately 5 mins away in the car. The hotel was clean and the staff were extremely friendly. "

"Chris, checked us in, and helped us up with my bag and got my daughter a duvet. That was great, as well as the fine full English breakfast. The bathroom fan was dirty and inefficient. There weren’t flannels or anything but 2 liquid soaps. Instructions for how to turn on the shower would have been useful, and no dead giant spider in the bathroom. Parking was not that easy to do, which led to me taking a chance the following morning and getting fined."
