"The property was in a lovely, quiet location in the historic centre of Ferrara. We enjoyed a comfortable, quiet stay. The only hitch was that we had not realised that the single bedroom is about four small flights of stairs down from the rest of the house. Both my husband and I require a toilet on the same floor as a bedroom. We also sleep in separate bedrooms. This was resolved by using the sofa bed. "This is the first time we have been disappointed in a VRBO rental. I assumed that apartments had to comply with a check list of required items but apparently that is not true. The kitchen lacked a microwave, a toaster, a coffee maker (one larger than the smallest stove top espresso maker), bread knife and cutting board, paper towel, hot pads, and the list could go on. "Fabulous gem of a hotel. Friendly staff who made us feel so welcome and could do enough to help, superb breakfast with so much choice, and comfortable, super clean, quiet rooms.
