"Wir hatten eine super Zeit im Birentobel. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir von Nadja persönlich zum Haus begleitet. Das Haus war bereits vorgewärmt, sodass wir sehr entspannt ankommen konnten. Das Haus entspricht genau der Beschreibung, kein überflüssiger Schnickschnack, aber alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Ein perfekter Ort, um abzuschalten und vom Alltag runter zu kommen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!"

"It's really at top of the world. The cottage is at the top of Nessalu mountain top. Excellent if you want to spend time in nature. It's difficult to find so contact the owner before you go there. Owner is very friendly and very helpful. She knows only German, but she was really nice to use Google translate to talk. I want to really thank her for that. I think it's good for a group 10-15 people. But it will be amazing for a couple too."

"Die 4 Übernachtungen im Ferienhaus Apfelbaum haben uns richtig gut gefallen. Krinau ist ein süßer kleiner Ort mit tollem Dorfladen. Das Haus war für unsere Bedürfnisse sehr gut ausgestattet, insbesondere die Küche hatte alles, was es zum Kochen braucht. Die Ausstattung ist reduziert aber sehr gemütlich. "We arrived very late due to travel complications, and the staff at the hotel was extremely accommodating and allowed us to do a late check-out. They changed the whole cleaning pattern to allow us to stay a little bit longer than the normal check out time, and this allowed us to get some sleep and enjoy the fantastic shower in the room, as well as walk a little around the hotel, which is in a fantastic location. Great location and hotel

"The hotel has a beautiful bar and wonderful restaurant. The views from the room were spectacular. Our room in the Schloss was huge even though we just got a standard double room. There was even a walk-in closet. The decor was very traditional and the bathroom was big but was done in an old fashion style with a long narrow bath with a shower attachment. More modern decor is in the outer buildings.They have an elevator so accessibility is good in the Schloss except for the restaurant where there are a few steps to go up. The reception desk staff were very friendly and could speak multiple languages. I could converse in English with them. The location is very convenient with free parking. It is a very easy walk over to the thermal baths in the Bad Ragaz resort. Walking to the town center took me about 5 minutes. The breakfast at the hotel which is included was terrific with many options to appeal to different nationalities. The restaurant in the evening was wonderful with an Indian buffet."

Fantastically efficient design and excellent staff

"We stayed here for a night to look around the town. The hotel is well located with an underground ar park and is about 5-10 minutes walk from the old town and lake. Our room was a good size with plenty of power sockets and working USB outlets. It was a no frills room but everything we needed, clean and modern. The shower was excellent and the bed was comfortable. Staff were wonderful and the check in was lovely. There’s also a nice lounge too. Parking was 30CHF for the underground car park but there are cheaper options nearby."
