"Free parking with plenty of space. Good location. Friendly welcoming staff. Nice bedroom with good shelving and wardrobe space and it was warm and cosy. Only negative point was the bathroom which was tiny. Hardly room to turn round or dry yourself. Overall I would recommend the hotel but have to grade it good rather than excellent. "

"Good room and facilities. Bar service was poor - this was at a weekend. There wss usually only one barkeeper, who was obliged to serve at tables and lounge areas, leaving the bar unattended. The hotel's system did not permit the bar keeper to stay in the bar; guests could easily have ordered from the bar and carried their own drinks."

"Parking is always a concern but with a large secure NCP very close by i felt ok. The staff were polite and exremely helpful. Room was good with a great mattress, a good nights sleep with blackout curtains. The food was presented well and tasted delicious. Thankyou Malmaison we will book again."

The location is easy to reach and then less than a minute walk to the inner city. I would highly recommend DoubleTree by Hilton York for future visits."
