Property was very unique and nice. The room was clean but I do think there was some mould within the building, which comes with an old building on the main floor! The owner was lovely and helpful, the room was quiet and had everything we needed!

A beautiful typical Florentine building, where the first floor has been transformed into a hotel. It exudes a lovely spirit and unique essence. The staff were friendly and great. I adore experiencing the authentic vibe of each place I visit, and this place provided me with a delightful experience

Really lovely B&B! The owner was nice, the beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was simple, but copious! Would highly recommend. 10-20 minute walk to all the major sites and very close to the train station.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Casa di Barbano. Every member of staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and spacious. There was lots of choice for breakfast and I really loved the vintage furniture that was in the room and the rest of the hotel. It is also only a 10 minute walk to the train station so it is in a great location. I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in Florence!

Very nice, easy going and accommodating host, on site all the time, ready to help if you need it. Nice simple Italian breakfast served in the morning. If it's busy you might need to wait your turn. About 15 min walk to the main basilica and the tower. About 10 min walk to the train station. It's an old palace and so the facilities are in tune with the old style Florence, so do not expect modern hotel-like interiors. You can borrow books and games as well. We liked it very much and would recommend it, no doubt.

This is a cute and spacious apartment at the top floor of the building. Despite there being no elevators to get to the apartment, we enjoyed our stay and our toddler liked the space to run around in. We would stay here again in the future.

We were a family of five and we booked two rooms..fit us perfectly. We all enjoyed our morning breakfast in the courtyard and my animal loving daughters enjoyed the two cats and three turtles greeting them in the courtyard ech day. The rooms were clean and quiet and our host was so nice. We will definetly stay here agaiin.

Anybody wanting to experience a true Italian lifestyle, and wanting to embrace the culture in Florence must come here. The service from the staff was outstanding, the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Overall, you walk in and feel welcome, the extremely kind owner and manager is always there in case you need anything. If you are thinking on staying here, do yourself a favor and do so!

Maroq was absolutely a wonderful hostess! We stayed 6 nights and she was there to assist in any way possible. She provided continental breakfast daily, and offered advice on directions, places to visit, eateries, etc. As expected rooms are smaller, but very quiet and quaint with daily cleaning service. I highly recommend. We had an amazing experience here!

Excellent place to stay in Florence.
This was a lovely bed and breakfast and a great place to stay. Room was clean, spacious and serviced every day. Breakfast in the morning was basic, but more than enough. The owner is extremely helpful with ideas of places to visit, buses and hints and tips for the city. The accommodation was 10 mins walk from the station and about 15 mins walk from the historical centre. The only slight downside was being next to the breakfast area my room could be a bit noisy first thing in the morning, but that's mostly on me for not getting up earl enough! I will definitely stay here again when I return to Florence.

Nice location, very nice spacious apartment just a little hot - we were right at the top. Good workout carrying all the suitcases up ;) But would have been improved by some decent air con - because I suppose the heat rises, it was VERY hot all night and fans insufficient to deal with the Florentine summer. For the money, that aside, very good value though.

What's not to love about a little Florentine villa with a courtyard just minutes from Santa Maria Novella Station, and great Wi-Fi. A kind and genuine hostess who can guide you with her local knowledge and intelligent discussion about art and architecture that must be seen if you haven't yet got your bearings. If at all possible, I would definitely stay here again when visiting Firenze.

Bait and Switch?
I called this B&B a day before arrival and was told all was ready; we had two rooms for two nights. On arrival we were advised that they had "overbooked, but hey! It's all good, because I have you another place very near by, where my father stays when he comes to visit me!" This was a hotel rather than a B&B, and it was totally unacceptable if for no other reason than the room temperature. While our room was marginally acceptable, the other was an oven, and we ended up with that couple on the floor in our room with us. When we called the desk they did nothing but say they would deal with it the next day. About that time I started to wonder what the hotel cost, as opposed to the B&B and found out it was substantially cheaper. Then I wondered why anybody with a B&B would send their father elsewhere to stay. Also, the location of the hotel was further from the places we wanted to visit, and at the edge of a residential area, so there were no really convenient restaurants or taverns. To go anywhere you had to cross a major street with traffic & trains to dodge. After one night I could not deal with the hotel another so I booked a new hotel and spent even more money to be able to sleep the second night. I ended up paying for 4 room-nights to get two in a lesser place. I honestly feel that the original B&B owes me money and I would like to hear from anybody else who had a similar experience. It felt like a pure bait-and-switch and it offended and angered me.

The location was very good, the building old and charming, exactly what we expected when visiting Florence. The owner was very helpful and couldn't have been kinder. Overall an experience we would repeat.
