"We were only in for a night while waiting to go aboard a friends boat for the remainder of the week. It is a quaint hotel, built in 1880. The room was on the small side, the staff were pleasant. As we are early risers we would have preferred the breakfast to be served before 8am but when it was it was ok. The room we had was on the ground floor beside the bird cage and they woke us up even earlier than we would normally wake up. Would recomment people stay back in the rooms around the pool to...

"Douglas house is a unique property that is a series of older homes converted to rental suites. It has a lovely courtyard in the back of the property with a small pool, lounges and tables. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Room 1 was adequate, but toilet needs an upgrade and towels definitely could be thirstier. "Loved staying in a ‘conch house’ which was quirky and comfortable. Swimming pool was lovely and open until 9pm. The hotel is Situated right on Duval St so just park up the car and enjoy all the amenities right on your doorstep. We will definitely be back. "

"The location is excellent and the staff friendly. They give a complimentary continental breakfast and happy hour which was a nice surprise. The rooms were spacious which can be hard to find at a guesthouse in Key West. The only negative is there's no on site parking and parking in the area isn't the easiest to find."

"Very nice local place, right by the beach. Clean, calm and very confortable. Only negative point was the 2 complementary bicycles, both had the pedals broken, couldn’t use it. Over the phone, the gentleman offered us to refund the rental we have to do, nice gesture and that was enough, we didn’t ask for! Will go back there for sure!"

"The mermaid and the alligator is a nice property in a good location. Unfortunately because of its location it is noisy in the evening with traffic noise. Shower had mold on the ceiling. The room we stayed in had no tv and not enough electrical outlets."

"We visited Breezy Palms for our 20th wedding anniversary. We took advantage of the boat rental on site, had a great day on the water. Played cards on our lanai. Used the lovely pool, walked to local restaurants, and had a memorable time. Definitely will be back!"
