"What a relaxing time we had! The ducks come up in the morning and beg to join you for breakfast. People smile and waive in the boats passing by and even a load of cows on a boat came by. We can’t say enough about this lovely rental. Everything was absolutely gorgeous! The finishes were all high end and the relaxation you feel on entering this place is priceless! Make sure you don’t miss the opportunity to stay here. We’re so glad we came"

"The owner of this property must use google translator as most of the messages he sent me made no sense. This then made it difficult to understand the check in process. Thank goodness the kind lady at the registration office clarified things for me. I understood that towels/tea towels would be included with the linens, but there was an extra fee for these items. Just a note for mobility challenged guests, the stairs are very steep and narrow."

"Wir haben uns sehr gut erholen können. Es ist alles vorhanden von Kaffeemaschine bis fließenden Wasser. Eine sehr schöne und gepflegte Unterkunft. Ein Hundestrand ist in der Nähe und mit dem Auto oder Fahrrad gut erreichbar. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind fussläufig nicht gegeben, aber mit dem Auto sehr gut und schnell erreichbar. Das einzige was man vielleicht verbessern könnte wäre eine Klimaanlage im Chalet."

There is a grocery store in the next town over so it's a quick drive or bike ride if you need to pick up anything. "I was a little worried when we pulled up to park at the front door as the weeds made it look a little messy. However, the inside was quite nice. Some other minor complaints could be the bad TV location in the living room, a slow drain that required cleaning in one of the showers (and slippery shower floors), and no clothes dryer. Otherwise we enjoyed the stay very much!"

"Lovely location and clean property. Niggles were around the owner not responding to questions about what would already be there (there were filters for the coffee machine, now there are 2 boxes! There is a car charge point nearby but no idea if we could have accessed it). We also weren’t sure if we were allowed onto the jetty but presumed we were. But a nice quiet place to stay."

"This quiet back-water close to the town of Makkum makes an ideal base for chilling out and communing with nature. For the bird-lover the area teems with wildfowl. We heard a Bittern. We used the spacious accommodation as a base for cycling and were not disappointed. The hosts were kind and considerate. Home-produce was available from this small-holding."

Restaurant and service was two highlights and the view from the room was great.
