Quaint cottage in spacious grounds. Nice indoor pool and cosy fireplace. Helpful owner (Yves Yard)
The cottage has 2 bedrooms and large lounge, diner with a cosy wood burnt fireplace, 2 shower rooms. The owners live above but the walls are thick so there’s no noise to disturb each other. The cottage is well equipped in the kitchen, bathroom towels and bedding. It has almost everything you might need. There’s a small heated indoor pool which was very useful for little kids. The grounds are huge so kids can run around too. There’s a gate with remote control going into the property.
The village is small but has a cafe just opposite the road. There’s a small grocery but it’s VERY expensive there. You need to stock up for food essentials at supermarket, 15 mins away by car.
The owner Yves is lovely and helpful, showing us where everything were and how things work. Otherwise they left us in peace throughout the stay.
The only small problem was very weak internet and phone signal. You have to go outside the house to make a phone call and the router in the cottage almost never has signal. However this is good if you are looking for a rest from the outside world!
Overall a great place to stay.
