"This property and the views were amazing! It is exactly what I was looking for to get away and unplug from chaotic work life. The house was perfect and cozy and the couple times I had to contact the owner they were very kind and attentive. I had already booked a different place when I found this and immediately re-booked and I'm so glad I did! It's in the middle of nature and has everything you need. I will definitely be coming back and possibly making it a yearly trip. I can't recommend more...

"We had a relaxing stay at this adorable home, out in the country near the river. Very cute and tastefully decorated had fun games to play indoors and outdoors. We felt comfortable as we relaxed in the nicely appointed house. Loved every minute of our stay!"

"Wonderful host! Beautiful campsite! Clean Port-a-potty, with 2-ply toilet tissue! Awning over a picnic table for a nice dinner, there's a grill, fire ring, wood supplied and chairs. We camped at "Big D's Pond", one of his two camping sites. The only drawback is that there's no place to wash/clean up. "Hippie baths" All in all, you will not be disappointed!"

"This house is very homey and welcoming. We enjoyed a ride on the Potomac Eagle Railway and the location of the home was perfect, just a short drive away. The house was spacious and very homey. We especially enjoyed the fresh produce from the garden left by the owners."

"We booked this property with the event of the polar express planned on Saturday. We checked in Friday night and the house was wonderful. I really enjoyed the journal that was left to write notes about guests stay. I thought there would be a lot more to do in town but we couldn’t find much of anything of interest at the time, so we ended up leaving early Saturday evening."

"You can really tell the house is cared for. It feels like a home. It had everything you could need. They have a well stocked kitchen and even supply snacks. The beds were very comfortable. "This is a lovely and spacious cabin with a well-stocked kitchen, which is important because it's well up the mountain from town. We enjoyed the deck and hot-tub; our dogs enjoyed the room to roam. The only hitch we had was operating the TV and Dish -- but could've been operator error... We will definitely be back!"

"Staying at Austin's cabin was just what the doctor ordered. Arrival was a bit delayed due to no cell reception and the gate code not being provided prior to arrival. Once we drove back down the road a bit for a smidge of cell reception, we were able to reach Austin and get the code. The property upon entrance was nice, secluded, and peaceful. "The cabin was very nice. Once we figured the area out. Grocery store wasn’t that far away. Very quiet and seen some wild life (deer). In the morning it was great to sit on swing with my coffee and watch the deer graze. "

"The staff was friendly. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The entire property is very dated and could use a lot of updating. The hall carpets were dingy and needed vacuuming. The mini refrigerator in the room wasn't cold. The pool and hot tub were closed for repair/renovation during our stay. I felt safe and it was pretty quiet. It was fine for my one night stay to visit with family. "
