Fowey is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty and Helen House is perfectly placed for either of Fowey's two beaches, National Trust coastal & estuary walks, canoeing or for hiring a boat & learning to sail. Three golf courses are situated a short drive away as are numerous National Trust Houses & Gardens. The Eden project is also only 15km away which is always worth a visit. Also close by are the popular coastal ports of Charlestown, Mevagissey, Polperro and Goran Haven making the house the perfect holiday home to explore Cornwall. Fowey holds many events throughout the year including the popular Fowey Royal Regatta and the Daphne du Maurier literary festival.

Fowey River Gallery, Charlestown Shipwreck and Heritage Centre and Fowey Aquarium are cultural highlights. Some of the area's landmarks include St. Catherine's Castle and Pinetum Park and Pine Lodge Gardens. Just about the best view in Foweyl
Three balconies overlooking the estuary provide the best possible opportunity to savour the finest views in Fowey. The property has excellent facilities throughout plus the ability to park on the drive (so very rare in Fowey!) Worth noting that there is an electric blanket for the bottom bedroom used seasonally by the management staff. If you visit in cold weather you may want to ensure this is available - it can get chilly down there!

Beautiful home, excellent location
Helen's house was just perfect. The views from the balconies are amazing. The kitchen was so well equipped with absolutely everything you could need to cook, lots of utensils, plates and mugs etc, really spacious. Yes there are tons of stairs and the layout is not "standard" but you do get used to it! Within a few mins walk you're in fowey where there are just enough pubs, restaurants, to keep you fed. The rest or Cornwall is also easily accessible by car within max 2 hours you can visit all the main places. The responsiveness of the caretaker was great too, we accidentally smashed a wine glass and she was kind to acknowledge and not ask for any money to replace. It really is a great location and again the views from the balconies are so amazing. We were recommended to stay here by friends and would recommend this place to everyone!
