Split into a northern and southern quarter, the Westend area is an affluent residential zone just outside the city center. As you amble along the pleasant lanes, you’ll spot the large and impressive houses of some of the city’s wealthiest citizens. Visit the Westend to relax in various parks and plazas, enjoying the district’s serenity and enchanting scenery.

Marking the eastern side of the Westend region is the spacious Rothschildpark, which provides some of the best views of the Deutsche Bank Twin Towers. In the northern part of the quarter stands the Goethe University Frankfurt. Chat with students as you make your way through the campus. The Westend skirts the western border of the central Innenstadt district. Travel here by U-Bahn to the Alte Oper station then head west to explore the neighborhood.
