Our stay was lovely, however it was very noisy between the adjacent rooms, street noise, construction, etc. It would definitely be worth it to try to get a room on a higher floor. The staff was friendly but not overly helpful.

We had a very nice stay, would stay again albeit rooms are on the smaller side and I have been in more comfortable beds. Was a little taken back by the $7 drip coffee. Regardless enjoyed being there, very neat and clean and the service was excellent. The valet parking was huge, parking in NYC is never fun or easy.

Very beautiful grounds and premises. River views were amazing.

This is the most luxurious hotel I have ever seen. It was designed by John Jacob Astor who unfortunately was lost in the Titanic disaster. But thankfully his beautiful hotel keeps his legacy alive. The architecture is absolutely jaw dropping. You will feel like you went back in time because the decor and amenities look like they are brand new even though they are intricately ornate Edwardian designs. This hotel looks like it's from a fairy tale both inside and out.Astor thought of everything. Every little detail in this place is impeccable. The staff is extremely friendly and thoughtful and their service is excellent. They carry your luggage and walk you to the building with an umbrella if it's raining. They carry your luggage up to your room. The concierge desk helps you with whatever you need. It was my mother and my birthday and they were so thoughtful and hooked us up at another restaurant for her birthday dinner. They gave us a personalized birthday card and treats. They gave us a tour of the basement which has historical artifacts and photos or autographs of many famous celebrities who came to stay to perform at the venue in a previous decade. incredible experience! the customer service and hospitality was off the charts. Amazing location, walkable to Times Sq/Theater District, and Highline, etc. A highlight was they have two bikes you can take for the day, for free - we biked to Central Park and it was an AWESOME way to experience the city. And lastly, restaurant is delicious and has a great vibe - ate there 2x despite all the food options in the city. Thank you, thank you - we will be back.
