"Spacious and very comfortable rooms in a delightful property. Excellent staff, if a little too formal / deferential at times. Only thing I can score it down for is attention to detail on housekeeping -teapot and cup not cleaned away one day. Stairs and hall carpet needs a vacuum. Would recommend especially for the tranquility. "

"We had an amazing time at Mont Rochelle, we didn't need to think or lift a finger. The staff were always on hand to assist and help plan things, including wine tastings, dinner / lunch and much much more. We will definitely be going back one day! "

"Wow, where do I begin? This stunning, intimate property in the heart of Franschhoek is absolutely perfect for couples! The staff are incredibly welcoming, polite, and professional. The food and beverage, on point. Although we had some noisy neighbors on our first night (not the hotel’s fault, so no complaints there), we slept wonderfully. "We had a wonderful stay at the Last Word. Franklin, Conrad and the whole team couldn’t have done more to make us feel welcome, at home and offered to help with all aspects of our trip plans. The hotel decor and facilities surpassed expectations. We had an amazing few nights sleep, the room felt very premium and the bathroom was incredible! Overall, we felt the hotel was worth far more than what we paid and can’t wait to return!"

"We had a lovely stay. The staff here are really friendly and helpful. Our loft room, though a bit difficult to get up and down the staircase (definitely not recommended for anyone with mobility issues), was cosy and clean. The breakfast was great and swimming pool also very refreshing in the heat commonly experienced in Franschoek. Very centrally located in town, so it was also a convenient location with easy parking"

"Prior to check in time, we requested our luggage be stored as we were going on the wine tram. They not only did this but put our chocolate in a fridge so it would not melt "

"We stayed two nights in a ground floor room with some outside space. room very spacious, aircon and well decorated. Lovely to have the pool which was quiet and lovely to cool off. Guest house is a good 10mins walk to the main street but surrounding area very quiet. Breakfast as plentiful. Staff extremely friendly. I would definitely return!"

"Our 4th stay at this outstanding guest house! Beautiful rooms, lovely breakfast, beautiful gardens. What makes this place special though is the people. Karloff, Juvelie and Jamie-Lee were incredible together with Justin. My husband was taken seriously ill as we arrived and eventually had to be hospitalised. They looked after me as a family would. They went well beyond the call of duty and checked up on me constantly We will hopefully be returning when my husband is better. The nicest place in...
