"The cottage was cute and well equipped. At first as we were driving there it seemed so far off the beaten path. As we ventured out the next day to Acadia National park we realized we weren’t that far away. It was about a 45 min drive. We do like to watch a little tv before bed; so, if you want a tv, there is no tv. We listened to our music. It was a little too cold to sit outside to do any star gazing. The view of the sunrise over Cadillac mountain was beautiful!"

"We enjoyed our stay very much. If it had been warm enough to enjoy all of our meals outside that would have been wonderful. We didn’t plan or pack for any rain but when it poured for a solid day, we were thankful for the cabin’s shelter and wifi and umbrella when we went out. Although we brought an infant and a 2.5yo, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this property for such little/young kids unless you’re prepared for spotting them up and down the ladder. A couple criticisms- The kitchen cookware was poorly maintained, had hit spots and rounded bottoms- difficult to cook with. Cast iron pans would be a great addition! The fridge needs an ice maker. Knives were very dull- all of them. The compactor and light switches should be labeled for easier use. Living room was rearranged by our group...

"Overall the stay was nice. The cabin was clean and had a functional kitchen. However, to check in, we had to call the host directly and have him meet us. We couldn’t get in contact with the host despite multiple attempts and wound up having to wait on site for him to reach out to us to get in. There wasn’t any shampoo or conditioner as there should have been but we wound up purchasing those ourselves to avoid...

"Listing says it’s walkable, but it’s probably a good 20 minute walk and it’s not ideal with kids because of traffic once you get into Acadia. It is a short drive to Jordan pond house though. Our mattress was from 2007 and we did not sleep good at all because of it. Not enough seats for 4 to relax in living room after a long day of hiking either. Very responsive host so that was a positive."
