"We are a family of 4 (kids aged 10 and 4 years old) and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this house. It is spacious and very clean. Although rustic this house is very well equipped with everything you could need. The air conditioning in the bedrooms is excellent and welcome on hot evenings. The pool and the surrounding area are fabulous. Very clean and well maintained. The views are spectacular and well worth the short journey up the hill. We had no problems at all and would love to return here...

"Owner met us in Frigiliana as arranged and allowed us into the property 2 hours early, which was welcome. Lovely rustic property with beautiful, clean pool. Facilities were fine and air-con worked well. The bedroom is up in the eaves of the villa with a sloping roof, so if you are tall, like me, be prepared to keep ducking to avoid the exposed beams. Also, the stairs are a little tricky to negotiate as quite steep. The bed was ok but not great especially as the fitted sheets did not stay fitted...

"We could not have asked for a single thing to have been better. If you stay at this property, you will have the best time. We have stayed at VRBO's in Europe and North America, and this was the best experience we've had. The accommodation and hillside location with spectacular mediterranean views make it hard to beat. They have put a lot of thought into the details to ensure it feels like home. The hosts greeted us on arrival and made us feel so welcomed throughout our stay. They answered all our questions and provided great recommendations for sites to see, restaurants, parking etc. They hosted us for dinner one evening and that was one of the most memorable experiences on our trip. We cannot recommend this property and these warm exceptional hosts enough."

Traditional Andalucian Townhouse in the heart of the Old Town Frigiliana

Andalusian magic! Comfort and soul in one.

"We spent 9 days in the house and it was unforgettable time! The house, with its charming architecture, perfectly captures the spirit of the region. Situated in the heart of town, it's an ideal base for exploring, surrounded by charming stores and excellent restaurants. The location is unbeatable! The house is well-equipped, clean, and cozy. Each level - kitchen, living room, and bedrooms - has its own charm, but the rooftop terrace was our favorite, offering beautiful countryside views. We spent many peaceful mornings and evenings there, enjoying the sunsets. The owners were helpful and friendly, providing invaluable tips. Their recommendation of the beach in La Herradura was spot-on! It was intimate and scenic, and without their advice, we might have missed it. As with older homes, there were minor inconveniences. The lack of air conditioning could be challenging on hot days, and the multi-level layout meant a lot of stairs. Ants appeared but were no issue as long as food was stored properly. Additional advantage: our child learned to stay tidy, thanks to the ants :). In summary, this is a place with soul and character, a home, not a house, ideal for those seeking an authentic experience, not just a generic hotel. We were absolutely delighted and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a true Andalusian stay."

Some have commented on the steep roads to get there- yes it is curvy- you are in a mountain area-but everyone drives carefully and respectfully. Emilia was an amazing host - great recommendations on where to eat, shop, sites and beaches to visit. We would love to go back some day"
