Set in Frigiliana in the Andalucía region, Casa Solanum is a spacious 5-bedroom-villa, with a large private pool, beautiful gardens and splendid mountain views. Each room has individual bathroom, balcony, air con & free WiFi. A fully-equipped kitchen is available. Guests feel at home in a very large living room. On the shady northern side, there is a large, rustic BBQ area. On the southern side, a generous terrace invites to relax at the large pool (12 x 6m, with shallow end). There is secured parking space for several cars at the entrance of the villa. The charming town of Nerja with its secluded beaches can be reached in a few minutes by car. The pitoresque village of Frigiliana is just a few miles above the villa.

Fantastic property 5 mins from coast
A group of 10 people, 6 adults with 4 children, had a wonderful stay here. The villa much larger than we had expected and was plenty big enough for the 10 nights we'd booked. Each family had their own separate living quarters with en-suite facilities and air-conditioning which was a life saver as it was so hot. The kitchen had all the required amenities and the outside BBQ was used nearly daily. Within just a few minutes drive, you have multiple food shopping choices with Lidl and Aldi closest, but Mercadona and Carrefour markets also great options. The town of Nerja is easily accessible with a large car park in the centre of town. And just up the road away from the coast, the elegant village of Frigiliana. This was a fantastic break.

Grandparents treat for family
This property is beautiful and perfectly designed to accommodate three families. However there is a problem with the hot water system. Master bedroom has no shower available because of the water pressure so had to use another bathroom. Getting hot water was haphazard Everywhere in the property.

Overall this property is one of the best we have stayed in over the years. From the booking onwards everything went smoothly and communication was superb throughout. We did have a couple of small issues, both were resolved quickly without fuss, which is the mark of a great listing. Debbie was great, always available on the phone and helpful with suggestions for the area and explaining the villa. The property itself is great. The general level of upkeep is good throughout. The pool area is better than the pictures and the outside dining area is great. The main living area is also good and the TV was used for late-night movies. All the bedrooms and bathrooms are good, with the master upstairs being a real highlight. The kitchen area is well stocked with utensils and all the things you need while on vacation, the washing machine etc all work (not always the case) As with anything, there are some things that could be better. Water pressure is a bit erratic. The WIFI is just ok, it fluctuates between 2-10mbps. The barbecue didn't work. Some electrics were strange, some lights not working, some switches that don't do anything (we assumed) To be honest none of these really had a negative impact on our stay. We would 100% recommend it and would book again.

Excellent villa and pool with two lovely outdoors eating areas. However there is a problem with the hot water system. Hot water is provided by three solar thermal panels, one of which is damaged, and this is inadequate for this size of villa with five en-suite bedrooms. The master bedroom had no hot water in the morning, and sometimes no cold water either.

Stunning Villa
The Villa is extremely big and has everything you need. Great for the larger families with endless amount of room. Debbie the host was excellent. The pool area is brilliant during the day and the bbq brilliant for the evening time. We stayed in this villa in 2015 for our wedding and 6 bathrooms have been renovated to a high standard since then. 5 stars overall and will be back again.

Spacious and comfortable
A spacious, comfortable and well equipped house. A good kitchen with everything we needed. Fabulous bbq and outside eating areas. The pool is a very good length and the surrounding terrace and gardens are very good. The bedroom on the top floor is very large and comfortable but needs new fly screens as mosquitoes were a problem. There is air conditioning which made up for the broken fly screens. Overall I would recommend this house. Great for families and groups. The house keeper Debbie was a good communicator and helped make our stay enjoyable.

Great Villa
A great time had by all of us in this spacious villa. Great facilities and sunshine from dawn till dusk! Fantastic location from Nerja & Frigiliana. Shame we had to get Debbie to sort a plumber to clear drains for us in the downstairs rooms but easily sorted.

Fantastic house in good location
The house is really good. Very good standards and well maintained. Also the garden and pool are spotless. The house offers big space for each one to enjoy and feel comfortable. Only problem was the shower upstairs because there is not enough water pressure so if someone is using the showers downstairs the water literally stops flowing. In terms of communication with the property manager this was null. Twice we were told that she was coming and twice we were kept waiting without a note to say she was not coming. Also when we notified that the TV in the living room was not working we were ignored and neither an answer nor help was offered. There were some unforeseen circumstances and as much as we understand this reason in a property like this customer satisfaction should be a priority and a back up plan implemented to run your business smoothly. Lastly, careful with the check in and check out times posted on the website! It says check in at 14:00 and check out at 11:00 but we were asked to enter at 15:00 and leave at 10:00. Kindly enough we were let to stay at the property terrace until 12:00 on the day out to be able to finish packing, etc..

Fantastic Stay
Great big house with lots of room for 10 people. We had a fantastic week at this beautiful home. It has an amazing huge clean pool with a view of the ocean. The grounds are lovely and very large and there are several large outdoor tables where we could enjoy our meals. Debbie, the house manager, was super helpful and was quick to get us anything we needed plus she greeted us with a bottle of champagne which was such a nice touch. We’ve rented a ton of different homes over the years along the coast of Spain and this is definitely one we would go back to. The house sits right between the towns of Frigliana and Nerja which made it an easy drive to both the beach and a great jumping off point to explore Granada and Malaga. Make sure to go kayaking nearby because it’s a great way to see beautiful secluded beaches.

Fantastic & Stunning Villa.
We stayed at Casa Solanum for 9 nights from 21 July 2019. Booking was simple and Debbie the house keeper was very warm and friendly. As we approached the villa we were greeted by a magnificent electric gate. Beyond the gate was amazing! Everything you could ever wish for in a home from home, with the added bonus of magnificent sea views on one side and spectacular mountain views behind. The villa was immaculate with 4 double bedrooms each with their own shower which were clearly of a very high specification. The pool was very large, and there were 2 terraces - each were spacious - one facing the sea , the other to the rear of the property with a BBQ, and lots of pots with flowers and a pretty garden - it was idyllic. The lounge was also very spacious and comfortable. We had everything we needed on our doorstep including Nerja and the pretty village of Friglianna minutes away by car. We could not fault this villa - it was the best we have ever stayed at, and we have been to a few. If you book this villa you will not be disappointed. We hope to come back soon, and want to take this opportunity to thank Andy, Debbie, The Gardner and the Pool Man for making our holiday very special!

The house is perfect for a large group travelling together with separate bathrooms for each room. The outside areas are so beautifull and invite to spend much time in the house. The short trip to both Nerja and Frigiliana maked shopping and restaurant visits very easy. We can highly recommend this wonderfull place. .

Casa Solanum os a wonderful place for a family vacation. My family of nine persons enjoyed the house with five double bedrooms, bathrooms, the indoor and outdoor facilities. The size of the house, gardens terraces and pool meant that we never felt crammed. We had some minor problems with the hot water and the draining systems. Ideale Villa für Familien und Freunde. Genügend Platz in der sehr gut ausgestatteten Villa. Die Lage ist gut um die Alhambra und Málaga zu besichtigen. Kleiner Wermutstropfen bei unserem Besuch: der Wasserdruck war nicht stark genug um zu duschen.

Casa espectacular muy cómoda
La casa es preciosa, muy cómoda y con vistas espectaculares. Hemos ido con otra pareja y con niños y se lo han pasado genial. Incluso nos dejaron unos hinchables en la piscina, al Dragón lo bautizaron los niños como Juan Carlos :-). Excepto un pequeño contratiempo a nuestra llegada, Débora muy atenta y el propietario Andy responde muy rápido ante cualquier comentario. Recomendaciones a mejorar: muy poca presión en la ducha (arriba no cae agua si hay alguien en otra ducha), la lavadora no funciona bién, las luces de la piscina no se encienden, y los cojines de las hamacas deberían renovarlos porque tienen manchas. Aún así, la valoración global es muy buena, totalmente recomendable.

Nos ha encantado la casa, es super grande y bonita, la piscina es enorme, un precioso jardín q rodea toda la casa, maravillosas vistas...verdaderamente un sueño. La ama de llaves, Debora, es encantadora, nos explicó todo muy bien, hasta nos recomendó restaurantes para comer típicos de la zona, donde su cuñado q se come de miedo. En fín, una casa ideal para vacaciones.
