"Had a fantastic family getaway in Villa Camaleon 27th Dec 2024-1st Jan 2025. The villa is up on a hill overlooking the coast, well situated with pretty Italian Cypress trees along the driveway. Completely private, feels remote but has a nice little neighbourhood on the hillside which feels safe. Pack a torch for evening walks. The road up is a single track with pull in areas, we enjoyed the track up and down for the views, if you're an experienced driver no issue, if less so, just take it steady. The villa is clean and tidy with eveything you will need for your stay, washing machine, kettle, hair dryer, plenty of towels, entertainment etc. The pool was great, with coloured lights. Pretty gardens. The best supermarket to stock up - El Ingenio, Velez-Malaga,there is a fuel station and mall type convenience. During our stay we visited Caminito del Rey & El Gaitanejo, the well photographed narrow gorge walkway, we had encounters with goats, found fossils and loved watching the train pass through the gorge, a marvel of engineering. We had a great day out at Cueva De Nerja which is a stunning cave with spectacular formations, there was also a VR experience which sent my brain into a tizzy about simulation theory and some really pleasant botanical gardens. We took quite a hike one day and visited Bajada al Canuelo a lesser trodden, clean, beautiful beach, steep way down from the car park through the woods & back up the road. Lots more to see and do! "Excellent view, tranquil, 10mins drive from a nice quite beach. Ideal for families. Fast wifi, fresh water swimming pool. Safe area in the mountains. Host was perfect with quick responses."

"We had a fabulous 12 night stay in early August. The Villa was very much as described with 4 large twin rooms all en-suite. Aircon was great in all the bedrooms. The spectacular views stretching past Malaga to the West and across the Med were only beaten by the stars at night. The drive to the Villa is steep for short time and your own car is very much a necessity but this was well flagged by the owner and the payoff with views more than compensates. We found the easiest access was from Arenas coming from the West. The Villa could benefit from some outside sofas in the shade, but you can’t have everything. Great Villa for multi family groups, or extended family, especially in conjunction with the nearby sister villa (50m away) which is larger and has a tennis court as well. The hosts were very very helpful and attentive and contactable on Whatsapp. Thank you Rosana. "

"The drive to the house was terrifying, we had people cancel day trips and plans because they didn’t want to drive the road to the house. One of my family refused to go in the car to Sayalonga and walked to the town every single time to avoid the scary drive. We were unable to use both pools on any of the days, it was one or the other and they were cloudy for most if not all of our stay. Not enough washing machines, refrigerator space, beds were uncomfortable, no a/c in the house, we had to buy about 20 fans so people could sleep. It was a nightmare and has tarnished VRBO for me personally. I have lost trust in your site. Shocking really"

"Beautiful place! The location is stunning and the hotel itself is lovely with a relaxed vibe and wonderful breakfasts. The optional extra of yoga in the morning was a great addition. The owners and staff are so kind and friendly, they give great recommendations about what to do/where to eat (no lunch/evening meals in the accommodation itself). We booked very last minute and had a couple of travel issues, but via their handy WhatsApp communication they were incredibly accommodating for us. We booked the smallest room but this was still plenty big enough and the main shared terrace space is perfect. As the hotel has only a few rooms we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves at times! "
