Find Galeries Lafayette at 21 High Street, an outdoor shopping mall at Katara Cultural Village. Look for the giant red gift-wrapped box nearby that marks the Children’s Mall. The shopping complex is next to the Pearl-Qatar, a man-made island with upscale houses and apartments. You can also find many other luxury stores, cafés and restaurants here. The gallery complex has an outdoor sidewalk cooling system, creating a comfortable shopping experience in the summer heat.
Public transportation to Galeries Lafayette is limited to the metro stop at Al Qassar, nearly a 40-minute walk away. Drive or travel here by taxi from the center of Doha in about 20 minutes.
