Nice affordable spot for a beach getaway
Bunk beds were wonderful. The queen size was perfect for adults and kids. Also, all the beds had foam/memory foam mattresses that felt amazing after a long day at the beach. Thank you for providing coffee and filters! That was a nice little bonus.

Tiny but clean, 2 seperate rentals in 1, not for young families
Let'sbe honest, this property is NOT for families with young children. The upper level, where the king and queen bedrooms and one bathroom are located, is completely seperated from the lower level, where the bunk bedroom is located. And when I say seperated, I mean the staircase is outside of the house so you have to go outside, down the stairs, and to the door in front of the driveway to get to the lower level. We were traveling with 2 grade school aged girls. We had to trust them to lock themselves into the room at night and stay there until we went downstairs to wake them up in the morning. Talk about a parent's anxiety nightmare. I wish we would have thought to move one of the bunkbeds upstairs and taken the queen or king down instead of locking them in the basement room. Great for much older kids or a group of adults, but not for families with young children. We had a few other issues with misleading information in the listing (like saying it was a swift 2 minute stroll to the beach and that a pool was included in the property) but i see those issues have been updated in the listing. It's a 2-3 minute drive if there's no traffic or a 15-20 minite walk. And there is a pool you can pay to go to down the street, but it's open to the public and not part of the property. The house was clean. The kitchen was very well stocked. The walls were paper thin and you could hear everything going on in the bedrooms or bathroom from the kitchen/living area. Tiny upstairs bedrooms.

Photos are very deceiving..
It should not be allowed to put pictures on the website about rentals that are so deceiving from reality of property condition. The first day and a half was spent communicating with VRBO & Beach Box about cleanliness and other issues. One bed completely collapsed. Dead bugs all over, dirty floor and furnishings, ripped throw pillows, horrible smell in downstairs. Washer/dryer is in DIRTY storage area. Dryer was full of some kind of oil. BBQ was filthy, rusty and unusable. Most everything is old and worn, much different than pictures show. Property management cleaned and fixed most issues but this was not how we should have had to spend our time and money.

There was an issue with our reservation so the young lady who helped me was so kind and very quick in helping to accommodate us in no time!!! We are very grateful for her going above and beyond! Regarding the property, housekeeping skipped some corners, one room had a broken window which had cardboard over the portion that’s as broken, there’s a very narrow driveway…to get to the back of the house for designated parking. It was challenging at times getting in and out since it’s right off of the main road. The noise level from traffic was insane Thursday night but ironically, Friday night, it was pretty quiet. Not sure what the smell is but I actually smelled it throughout Galveston, not just around the property. The house has some nice updates, and the beds we’re comfortable. Lots of beds and space within the house, just very close to neighbors not much space outside. However, there is a nice fire pit and deck out back and the front porch was nice. Oh and don’t freak out, the first few steps up the staircase make a lot of noise! Overall, we were satisfied with the house…It is an older home with a lot of updates though. To the young lady who helped us out with our reservation, you are amazing! Thank you so much for helping us to get adjusted so quickly, I can’t thank you enough!
