Überteuertes Fake B&B

Das Hotel ist schwer zu finden (Nebenstraße, die nicht auf Karten verzeichnet ist) und recht weit vom Zentrum von Galway (nur mit Auto). Es war von allen Hotels in Irland / Nordirland das teuerste, dazu mit dem schlechtesten Zimmer. Das sogenannte "chalet" (Hinterhofzimmer) war sehr klein, eng, kaputter Mülleimer, kaputter Badewannenteppich, kaum Platz zum Sitzen. Die Zimmer im eigentlichen Hotel, in die ich einen Blick werfen konnte, sahen allerdings besser aus. Es gibt keine Rezeption, sondern man muss die Dame, die öffnet, erst aus dem Nebenhaus heranrufen. Obwohl es offiziell "B&B" heißt, war Frühstück in dem ohnehin horrenden Preis nicht inbegriffen.

La struttura è confortevole e carina, su ogni piano c è una piccola cucina con lavello, forno a microonde e frigorifero per gli ospiti. Le camere sono di medie dimensioni ma confortevoli, con asse e ferro da stiro e asciugacapelli.

Good B&B

This is a good B&B. The room was nice and clean (but very small single twin bed room, tiny bathroom). Walls were paper thin and the door key is an old fashioned key. Internet and gathering area was outstanding. Staff was very nice. Good for a quick weekend stayover.

Not the Place for a Good Night's Sleep

If you have someone staying in a room above you do not expect to get any sleep. We were not able to sleep until the people above us quick walking around the room. You can hear other guests' voices, TVs, showers, and use of toilets. The mattresses need to be replaced.

Hva er B&B uten breakfast????? Rimelig skuffet over det meste og spesielt frokost som en ikke fikk. Personalet måtte en ringe til og bare legge nøkkelen nede i gangen da vi skulle sjekke ut.

Good for a day

Easy check in. The door key was a skeleton key and wasn't the easiest to open and the rooms you can hear what's going on outside and down he hall but overall for a one night stay it was perfect.

Large rooms with 2 double beds

Within a mile of "downtown" Salthill, which is lovely, but it is a steep hill coming back up. Easy distance to Galway as it is just over the bridge. No restaurants or food in the BnB and the beds were worn in spring mattresses.

Super für den Preis

Wir haben eine Nacht in dem B&B übernachtet, weil wir eine Rundreise durch Irland gemacht haben. Wir hatten einen Twin-Bett-Raum, der gemütlich eingerichtet war. Das Zimmer verfügte über ein Ensuite-Bad und für den Preis ging es total in Ordnung. Der Check-In klappte super schnell und problemlos, obwohl wir erst in den späten Abendstunden kamen. Das Zimmer war groß und sogar mit Garderobe, Schreibtisch und TV ausgestattet. Das Bad verfügte über eine schön große Dusche und es wurden Shampoo und Duschgel zur Verfügung gestellt. Einziger Minuspunkt war die Sauberkeit. Haare und Kugelschreiberflecken im Bett und Ränder von ausgelaufenen Getränken auf den Nachttischen. Aber alles in allem ging es für den Preis in Ordnung.

Okay, but nothing special

The open area was nice enough, but the room itself was very small, a corner room on the top floor. Bathroom was also very small. It was in a nice enough neighborhood, but a long walk down to the Salt Hill (30 minutes approximate). But if you are looking for a budget stay, it was certainly clean and orderly.

No impressed with The Rise B&B in Galway City

Not impressed from the get-go. There was no receptionist when we got there. The owner has three buildings in the area so she had to come from another place. The building and the rooms were clean and inviting so no complaints there. The double bed was well used and sagged in the middle. The place was full of what looked like University students and they returned from Galway City after a night on the grog and we certainly heard them!! For the price (190 euro)this place was definitely not worth it.

it was ok

We werent in the check in book so had a nice bit of confusion and hassle sorting a room for the two nights but we were put into a chalet which was nice and bigger than our room we booked so no complaints at all
