"The hotel was perfect for coming in late at night from thr airport or just before flying out. I stayed her twice on my recent trip to Iceland and it was perfect. It is closest to the airport and they have an airport shuttle service. They have some construction going on, however, the hotel is very clean and relaxing."

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Northern Lights Inn!! The dining at Max’s is phenomenal- world class!! We enjoyed a lovely dinner after visiting the Blue Lagoon and amazing breakfast buffet the following morning! We loved the lounge areas with cozy couches, fireplace and plenty of games to choose from! The guest rooms are lovely and enjoyed shower products! The only negative experience was taxi transportation to & from the airport. It is rather expensive for the short distance and not necessary to reserve ahead through the hotel. We had an hour from the time we departed the airport until our reservation at the Blue Lagoon. We did not see a taxi driver holding a sign with our name at the airport exit so we elected to take another cab - there were 8 out there waiting! When we checked in at the hotel, we were made to feel bad that we did not wait for the driver. We offered to use this driver the next day when returning to the airport but was told that was not possible. So we contacted the driver who brought us to the Inn. The next day, the original driver came into the guest lounge stating he was called to take us back to the airport. We were confused & explained to him that we had inquired about this but told this was not an option. It was very uncomfortable when the driver we did in fact request showed up to take us to the airport. Again we were made to feel we had done something wrong! There was never a message that the Inn had arranged a ride to the airport for us."

"The hotel was lovely, and quiet ,despite being about 6 minutes drive from the airport.Staff were friendly and helpful.The walk from the hotel into town along the seafront was nice. Roof top pool in the hotel was really warm and perfect for sitting out and watching the Northern Lights overhead.Would stay here again."

"Lovely stay (eventually) had a hiccup on the first night when someone had taken our room before we arrived! (Not good when arriving late at 9pm and just wanting to get settled)! The staff when we rang were incredibly apologetic about the mix up (not their fault) and made every effort to rectify as quickly as possible. Can’t fault the customer service. Purposely booked to be out of the way and in our 3 night stay we saw the Northern Lights each night. Perfect location (providing you have a car), beautiful clean rooms with stunning views. Already planning our next visit :-)"

"Great hotel and spa, really well presented building and the rooms were clean, well equipped and quiet. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were very attentive and polite. OK it's a little pricey but well worth the experience overall. The only negative for me was from the Lava restaurant where I had probably the worst steak ever especially given it's hefty price tag."
