Took the train to Edinburgh (not a lot of parking at the station). Drove to the ferry to Isle of Arran (take your car if you can). I had requested an early entry by 2 hours and in short was told yes for £50 payment as he had to arrange someone to be at the house. "We were suppose to stay in the main building on Bath st. but the elevator was not working. I truly appreciate the availability of receptionist via online & transfered us to the corner building with elevator access. The apartment is clean & has kitchen amenities. Only thing is a small fridge- it was ok for us since we only stay for 2 nights 3 days. But for longer stay, the small fridge maybe an issue. "I booked a hot tub weekend away for my husband and I to the Steadings and what a beautifully clean and comfortable cottage it was. The owners met us as we drove to the cottage to show us around. "The house was gorgeous and very comfortable. We did have to download an app to get a precise location which was unexpected, but easy enough to use. The beds were very comfortable and the location beautiful. If you are looking for a rural retreat in order to explore the beautiful scenery, it's a wonderful choice! "Spent a night at the Moxy with my sister to attend a gig at the Barrowlands. The hotel was perfect for our needs; really well situated about half a mile from Queen Street station and the Barrowlands, comfy bed, fab shower and great breakfast the following morning. Staff were unobtrusive and polite and the hotel was really quiet despite being in the city centre. Would definitely recommend and would stay again."

Great area, better location than city centre!

"We loved this hotel. The location was brilliant, I’m really happy we didn’t stay in the city centre, there was lots to see and do on our doorstep here. Museums, gardens and walks. Restaurants, cafes and bars. We loved the live music in the Irish bar a 5 minute walk away. The hotel was better than expected, a lovely building from the front, the bathroom maybe a little dated but suited the hotel enough to get away with it for now. Only problem was the Friday night drunks coming out of the church bar at 4am opposite, I don’t think the windows were double glazed and they were noisy, however I don’t remember noticing and traffic noise. Overall a brilliant stay and wouldn’t hesitate to go back! "
