"The property was well located with easy and good access to Aramante the Douro valley and Porto. The garden and house are secluded and the surrounding area of vineyards was very quiet and peaceful. The house was really well equipped and very nice with lots of hot water and towels for the pool. We enjoyed walking around the area and into Aramante along the new footpath next to the river. We had a really relaxing stay and would throughly recommend the house to people. "

"This house was really unique for us for its rustic look and use of natural materials. The beds were comfortable, and there was so much space to relax including huge patio and cozy living room. It might be a bit out of the way from the main road, but it made it feel like a country escape. We had a great time."

The things to pay attention to: - during hot days A/C works to full capacity. - the closest store is 10-15 min away, not walkable - if you are uncomfortable driving steep up/down hill, and sharp turns, consider staying elsewhere. "We had an amazing holiday here. The pool is huge and the gardens are beautiful with lots of shaded areas to sit and eat. Carmen was very helpful and friendly and made us feel welcome and gave us all the privacy we needed - the perfect host. A thoroughly relaxing time and a great location for exploring nearby towns like Braga, Aveiro and Porto. A wonderful place to stay!"

"A little tropical paradise. Perfect setting next to the water and total seclusion at bottom of valley. There was no-one staying in the second property by the water but don't think it would have changed our opinion.
