"The house and lovely shady park suited us very well as the weather was very hot. However the kitchen was far too small and inconvenient for a large number of people. We had problems with the pool, the water turned green and the cover jammed. These problems were dealt with very quickly by the manager."

"Bernard was very accommodating and provided a very clean and well equipped house to stay in. The downside was that the outside area felt like a building site. There was a half finished pond and decking area. The area around the pool is unfinished concrete as well. It is within walking distance to Santaney, but does mean it is on the main road. These things were tricky with young children and not clear on the listing."

"Un très bon séjour au sein de ce logement ! Fred est très sympathique et le logement était parfaitement adapté pour la famille (petit bémol sur le manque de casseroles mais c'est un détail). Nous y étions tellement bien que nous sommes finalement très peu sorti du logement ! L'extérieur est bien aménagé, les équipements de loisirs sont présents et la maison est grande et confortable. Je recommande à 100% et nous comptons bien y retourner !"

"To be frank, we were initially concerned that the gite might be too small but found this was absolutely not the case. There was ample room, the kitchen was completely furnished with everything one would need and more and the bed and furnishings were good. Bruno and Brigitte were the absolute perfects hosts and did much to make our stay enjoyable. We highly recommend this gite and hope we will be able to return in the future."

"The house is a very impressive conversion of a barn and farmhouse. The height of the central area does mean that there is an inevitable lack of natural light at either end however. The kitchen, with lights on, is excellent and very well equipped but the TV area is rather gloomy, at least in September. The plan of the house provided by Bruce clearly shows all the little flights of stairs but they do make getting around a bit complicated. For example, anyone using the third bedroom would have to...

"Claudette gets top marks for responsiveness and helpfulness. The cottage is deep in the countryside with beautiful walls in the fields and woods all around. We made friends with the cows, the crickets and birds. Exactly what we needed from our holiday. The little village which it’s close to has a friendly cafe and the closest town, Cluny, is one of the most charming and authentic little Burgandy towns I’ve visited. "We were driving from Bordeaux to Frankfurt and chose this hotel from Expedia’s site on a Friday because it had onsite parking and a restaurant. After checking in the receptionist told us (a) the hotel’s parking area was not safe so we should not leave any bags in the car and (b) the restaurant was closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday ! We couldn’t get a refund but we found another hotel a few kms away with a secure parking lot and two restaurants, so we relocated. "

Ibis Styles if you're not hungry but do need sleep

"The welcome and check in was excellent. The room was great and is the best Hotel bed I have ever slept in 5***** superb. We booked for dinner and on arrival shown to out table. We were presented with a QR code to use!? Being technophobes I asked to order and pay for food in the normal way - I was simply handed a itablet - no instruction and no-one attended us again so after 30 mins we left and used a restaurant along the street. Not very happy about this, there appeared to be only 2 people dealing with orders and serving running around in a chaotic way. The following morning I had an issue with my mobile phone and the reception desk lady bent over backwards to help. Thank you."
