"The igloo was such a unique experience! Unfortunately it was cloudy and raining most of our trip but it was such a cozy stay and walkable to Santa’s village and so many fun activities! We went to the breakfast every morning and the dinner/ drinks in the lobby bar were wonderful! It was definitely a slower season, but the staff was so friendly and pleasant to interact with. Would love to come back for a winter trip one day! "

"The place is close to the airport, a bus to go to town and airport and the village is so beautiful especially at night when all the lights are on. Restaurants and souvenir shops are in the village. "

"Everything about this hotel was perfection, I truly can't say enough. Staff was helpful, courteous, and on top of everything. My room was beautiful, the entire facility was immaculate. The in-house restaurant was amazing and the included breakfast was artistically presented, very generous, and excellently prepared. I enjoyed the use of the indoor 'garden' patio and the upstairs lounge. I also enjoyed the Sauna "Finland style" - you will need to reserve your time for that in 30 or 60 minute increments. I did 30 but wished I had done 60 minutes. The sauna is free of charge. There is shopping within easy walking distance if you want to get sourvenirs. Walkable restaurants included an Irish Pub, Indian, Chinese, local Finland cuisine, Burgers, Mexican, and Pizza. I had dinner one evening in a "local" pizza place that didn't look terribly fancy and the presentation and flavor of the food I ordered knocked my socks off. Staff assisted me with pointing the way to excursion companies and with those agencies I had the same excellence of service and support. When I had a difficulty with my airline the hotel staff assisted me with changing other travel plans to work around the headache that the airline had caused me. I will definitely return to Rovaniemi and I will definitely stay at the Arctic Light Hotel again. Highly, Highly, Highly recommend."

"Great stay! Everyone was so friendly, the chalets are cute, it’s all by the river so you can play in the water, good breakfast…. Nice and quiet in the summer, great time to go if you dislike crowds. You can rent fat bikes and SUP boards (for an extra cost), but kayaks and other types of bikes would have been nice too. But overall: well done, keep it up!"
