It is a very quiet area and a great spot to base yourself if you are interested in exploring the vineyards and villages in the Champagne region. "Initial impressions were very good. Large space both indoors and outside. All amenities advertised were there and functional (kitchen knives would benefit from a good sharpening 😃). "We stayed in this lovely home for a week in early August for a French vacation, with a side of Olympics in Paris. It was perfect. Pictures don’t do it justice. It has one of the best-stocked kitchens of any vacation home we have rented; modern, with everything you need to prepare a meal, and nothing you don’t. "Basic hotel that's well run by enthusiastic people, and with great breakfast - much better than others in price range. The rooms are spartan but have what you need and it was clean, new, had convenient parking and was close to stores and major roads. Had a wonderful view of vineyard-covered hills. "The hotel is very suitable for anyone travelling from the UK by road to southern France or the Alps. The drive from Calais to Chalons-en-Champagne is less than 3 hours. The town is not too far from the motorway south. There is very well priced fuel available. The hotel is located in a very pleasant square. Whereas the hotel does not have a dining room (except for breakfast) there are several restaurants and bars in the square. The hotel has a limited amount of parking, but there is parking in the square and an underground car part beneath the hotel next door that is open to the public."
