"Friendly staff and room was decent, gym was ok for a hotel gym. Nothing much around hotel so have to work 20 mins plus. Tiny things let them down slightly., 2 long hairs in the shower, crack in the join between wardrobes and ceiling. They were having work done in hotel on restaurant but felt like it didnt impact on me at all. Pleasant stay. Will definitely go back"

"My husband and I stayed at the White Lion Inn for one night while en route to visit friends, and we couldn’t have been more impressed. Despite seeing some negative reviews prior to our stay, we found them completely unfounded. The pub is a stunning example of a place run by people who truly love what they do. The warm, welcoming atmosphere made us feel at home instantly. Booking through Expedia was straightforward, and the room rate was very reasonable. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly. After enjoying a couple of drinks in the beautifully decorated bar, we were shown upstairs to Room 2. The room was an absolute delight – a blend of antiques and upcycled furniture, brought together with exceptional design. The newly refurbished bathroom had everything we needed for our stay. The welcome tray in the bedroom was generously stocked with tea, coffee, milk, bottled water, cans of Coke, and a jar of homemade biscuits. There was even a Nespresso machine for freshly brewed coffee. Roman blinds blocked out the streetlights, ensuring a peaceful night’s sleep. The room was cosy and warm, and dinner was simply outstanding. Both our starters and main courses were cooked to perfection, clearly prepared with care and love. The staff were attentive, friendly, and highly professional throughout. Breakfast the next morning was another highlight – freshly cooked full English, with coffee brewed at our table. Every detail was thoughtfully considered to make sure we enjoyed our stay. "

"This is a lovely hotel, welcoming, full of character, and lovely rooms. Our visit was somewhat spoiled by a noisy air conditioning. The temperature was set at 28c we woke up at 3am, hot and sweaty. initially, we were unable to switch it off, or turn it down. We eventually got back to sleep, but woke up shattered. The hotel were excellent in sorting out a partial refund, but we would rather have had a good night’s sleep."

"We had a break down with the second car so we could not use it in the end. I did check In and had a good look around it. It was clean and functional to a very good standard. "

"Beautiful room with a comfy bed and plenty of space. The hot tub wasn't working when we first came into the room, but the staff were happy to sort it for us. We also ordered pizza and it was delivered to the room free of charge and was tasty, but the breakfast was even better! "
