"We were two couples who stayed in this lovely home in Castellaneta Marina for about a week in October. It was immaculately clean, has a full kitchen and living area, 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The beds were comfortable and we were very happy to have screens in the bedroom windows so we could sleep with them open at night. Stunning hilltop location that offered privacy, 360–degree views, and easy access to Matera and a couple of small charming towns, as well as day trips to the higher-profile tourist towns like Polignano, Alberobello, etc…. "The cava is exactly as shown and described online. The view from the terrace looks directly into the Sassi. The location can’t be beat, it’s right near the old city and new City so you have a central location to see everything. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioner works great on a hot day. Our hosts were amazing. They provided us a lovely breakfast of fresh tarts, pastries, meats, yogurts, and milk/cereals. They even left us local wine to enjoy at home and suggested several tours....

"The staff was fabulous; both helpful and kind. We were unaware that caves are humid, which was our naivete. Breakfast was ample. Our cave was large and had lots of places to sit comfortably, inside and out. The only reason the stay was not 100% excellent was the humidity inside the cave despite running dehumidifiers and air conditioning. Having a sweet dog on premises was a bonus!"

"Posto molto tranquillo e piacevole ricavato in un casolare in campagna. Arredamento turistico base ma completo. Vicino al mare anche se serve la macchina visti i 2-3km di distanza, cosa comunque non problematica per gli ampi parcheggi gratuiti (e totalmente vuoti a fine luglio) dei lidi vicini. Mare bello sabbioso ma non super-trasparente come potrebbe essere puglia o sardegna."

"We stayed at Simona’s to go to SailGP. The accommodations were perfect and Simona helped us by booking taxis and restaurants. She also made sure we were having the best time. The place is out of the city a bit but close to beaches and the great community of San Vito, only a ten minute taxi ride to Taranto."

"What a fantastic hotel right in the centre of matera. The rooms were wonderful and the staff very helpful. A word to drivers getting tit he hotel can be a little stressful as the roads are very narrow and confusing. The restricted zone signage is the worst but ignore it as the hotel sorts the issue out with local police. "

"This was a "blow the budget" trip for me and I was not disappointed. The hotel is built into caves and has fantastic views of the city and over the ford (you can walk over). My room (a cave in itself) was huge, a large jacuzzi in the centre (would likely accommodate 4 people) and a modern wet room at rear, decor and lighting was perfect. The restaurant was also built into cave, was beautiful. Staff eager to assist and pleasant to chat to. Overall, fantastic - 1 minor criticism, the water in jacuzzi was not warm, no doubt refreshing in the sweltering summer but uninviting in a cooler October! Did mention to staff and it was being inspected when I left. Formidable place, thank you. "

"We absolutely loved everything about our stay - the beautiful rooms, the stunning spa, the delicious and generous breakfast, and the spectacular surrounds. We felt totally spoilt for our stay. We parked about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel, in a parking building (€1 per hour), which was handy enough to the hotel. Highly recommend!"

"We didn’t get the bottle of wine and we forgot to ask for it. However, the hotel, the room and location was stunning. Specially the people who work at the hotel, they were wonderful! All of them were kind and friendly. We even met the owner whom was very kind and attentive to all our needs. I’d come back for next time. Kudos to Giuseppe for his time and recommendations!"

"This property deserves a big thumbs up. Cave rooms were very well designed with a lot of attention to detail (lights, candles, custom shower gels). Breakfast was one of the best I had recently with a lot of local cheese and fruits instead of banal buffet items. Ricotta was simply amazing. Staff was polite and helpful. I would definitely stay again. The only recommendation I would give is that since each room is unique I would put each room and its images separately instead of room category. "
