A great stop at the lake!
Barbara was amazing to work with as we waited in the final dates for regional tennis tournament. The house is exactly as described and plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Great view of the lake from the house.

Family and friend reunion
Large home with great view of the lake. Didn’t know about the ice maker in the laundry room until we left, some lights need to be checked, and suggest outside pillows stored inside as were wet and not clean. Family plans to rent home in the future!

Enjoyed our stay
The location and set up of the house worked great for our family. We had a couple of maintenance issues but the owner was quick to respond, find solutions and make repairs. The house was clean and the view of the lake was beautiful. We enjoyed the skiing and sunset cruises around the lake. We visit family in Gladewater a couple of times a year and would not hesitate to stay here again. Thanks Barbara for sharing your home with us and for the kindness you and Greg extended to our family.

Wonderful Stay!
Our group of four embark on a girls trip each year, and we were all in agreement that our stay at the lake house was simply wonderful, and more than we could have even expected. The location is amazing, and we couldn't have asked for better views and the opportunity to just relax right on the water. The house is very clean, and the pride in ownership is apparent. We had no issues communicating with the owner, and every question was answered without delay. We would definitely book this house again, and look forward to our next stay.

Girls Golf Trip
This lake home was the perfect spot for 4 retired educators that enjoy a beautiful view from a lake, a great fire by the water on cool fall nights, & exploring of challenging East Texas golf courses. We really enjoyed our stay & will certainly return soon. Barbara, our host, did a great job of communicating & even went back personally to the property to look for a lost item by one of us. Things we enjoyed the most: the firepit by the lake was amazing, the icemaker (a game changer!), appliances up to date with the air fryer being a nice addition, & the garage access was helpful. We also loved on Murphy & Tess, the next door neighbor's dog & puppy. All in all, it was an awesome trip with the hope of returning soon.

Liked: Listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness
Underwhelming not what I expected
We stayed at this property over the weekend the listing is very confusing but that’s for another day, there is not 5 bedrooms like the listing describes , one of the bedrooms is a 2 in one seems like it was the master and they just added a bed inside the closet , not great for privacy. The front and back yard are way smaller than they appear on the pictures. There was a lot of spiders and spider webs everywhere. The kitchen is beautiful and spacious, they have a ton of windows everywhere but no curtains or blinds which is uncomfortable for privacy. The upstairs bedroom was the kids favorite had a ton of beds and windows but once again no blinds or curtains . Also the owners drove by on their boat and were spying on us throughout the day which I thought was very odd. I know it’s allowed but it’s very uncomfortable. I had to end up purchasing laundry soap as it was not provided and trash bags because we ran out , and also dish soap as the one provided Didn’t quite do the job . Do your research there is better out there . Also I would recommend you to get a better cleaning service and maybe add some air fresheners the house has a quite an odd smell . Wont be coming back nor recommending like I said do your research people .

Beautiful lakeside home, outstanding host/manager
This is our second stay in Gladewater. We love the home for its location and comfort. The host is super responsive and easy to work with. It feels like the home that it is, rather than a hotel. Thank you, Barbara! I look forward to returning.

Wonderful Property
Our family is from East Texas and we needed extra space for our adult families to stay to be able to celebrate a safe COVID Christmas. We had a wonderful time together, thanks to this great property. We were able to spread out in the game room upstairs and fish from the dock.

Stay at Lake Gladwater
We stayed at this home due to the passing of my father. The manager was very willing to work with us on dates and was quick to repair an issue we found with on of the showes. This house was in an ideal location for us since it was less than a mile from my mother. It is a beautiful home right on the lake and has circumstances been different, we would have used the kayaks and the dock for fishing. We definitely liked the double oven, the combo coffee maker, the number of towels and the use of the garage. And the wifi was excellent. We will definitely consider staying here again in the future. We did have a few recommendations to improve the stays of future customers: - bath mats. The floors of the showers were slippery and could be a fall hazard - additional cups and mugs. The house sleeps 12+, but there was only 5 coffee mugs and 7 glasses. Additional wine glasses would have been useful as well. - blinds or curtains for the East facing windows. Seeing the sunrise was nice, but it made it hard to sleep in on the lazy days. - a second door to the "awkward" room. Having to access the bedroom through another bedroom AND the Jack and Jill bathroom led to a few awkward moments for us. If it were me, I would take out the hall linen closet and use it as a door to the back bedroom. - add another couch in the living room. For a house that sleeps 12, having couch space for only 5 forced us to drag kitchen chairs into the living room. On more couch in that room would have made it much more comfortable. - put a better can opener in the drawer. We were forced to use a P38 to open cans at one point because the opener didn't work. - consider providing a griddle and a crockpot for the house. We had to borrow both for our stay. - add tongs to the utensil drawer. None of these were deal breakers by any means, but after staying at several homes, we think these things would make the stay even better. Thanks so much for letting us use your home! Richard
