"We had two nights at this hotel based on the excellent reviews, and we were not disappointed. Everything was exemplary. The room was spacious with probably the most comfortable bed we've slept in for ages. The food was equally good: nothing too fancy but perfectly cooked and piping hot. The same goes for breakfast. And if you like your beer, the Timothy Taylors Landlord was perfectly stored and served. The location is superb - easy driving distance from Saltburn down to Whitby and beyond. If you prefer, you can leave the car and travel by bus with regular buses going along the coast. Service by every single staff member was excellent - smiling, helpful and engaging. We hope to return again and highly recommend this lovely inn. "

The beauty of the moors was just added to by our amazing accommodation - extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and so well equipped. "Booked in for a week, stayed one night. Totally unsuitable for electric wheelchair. No grab rails. Stones that the wheelchair kept getting stuck in. Sofa to low for wheelchair user to sit on. Also down a very steep embankment. "

The location was perfect for accessing the train station and pub. Our dog was also very comfortable—the house did not smell of pets. It had been cleaned very well. "
