It was the perfect location for a relaxing long weekend. The place is very nice, very clean, perfect for a couple, with a beautiful view on the river and beautiful sunsets. The screened in porch is great and we got to see bald eagles from the backyard. We will definitely come back off season for another quiet stay.

Very cozy, nice decor, clean and a beautiful view with majestic eagles flying over the water. The kitchen is stocked with most any pot, pan or utensil you would need to cook a meal or there are restaurants and a grocery store within 15 minutes. It was cold outside and took us a while to figure out to keep the bedrooms and the bathroom doors closed (they run cool) to warm up the living room and kitchen and then it was great. Highly recommended this for friends or small family get away. The place is small but laid out well. We will probably be back.

Such a cute little house on a beautiful piece of the Piankatank. Everything you could ever need is provided. I could just sit on the dock forever. We caught a couple of nice crabs...and threw them back. Delightful getaway.

The house was very clean and cozy! We really enjoyed kayaking on the river and fishing on the pier!!! The food out in town was tasty as well. However the best part was fishing on the pier at 0700 with 4 bald eagles flying over top of us... Total peace and amazement, thank you so much for having us!!!!

One of the best VRBO's we've ever stayed in! The property was extremely clean and exactly as described. We appreciated the little touches by the owners - jars of individually wrapped q-tips and make-up remover, fluffy bathroom towels, a full candy jar stocked with chocolate just to name a few. This property is charming and makes a lovely place for a couple's getaway. The home has been well appointed and provides three wonderful ways to take in the beautiful river view--an enormous screened-in porch, a fun fire pit that doubles as a grill, and seating on the private dock. My husband and I enjoyed every minute of our stay & would definitely book this home again in the future.

The cottage was fantastic! We only had a short time there because my daughter got married at Wilton House Plantation. The cottage was very clean and well maintained and had everything we needed and more. We plan to come back this upcoming summer for another visit to enjoy the kayaking and the outside fire pit area. It is so quiet and peaceful, and the view is gorgeous! Rent this place and you definitely won't be disappointed!

My wife and I had a wonderful week long stay at this cottage on Ferry Creek. We loved the location and found the house very comfortable. We enjoyed the dock where we caught a few crab, used the kayaks, and enjoyed sitting under the umbrella to read. We also loved the view from the house and having a screened in porch - the sunsets are great. We would love to stay again. Owners etc were responsive and have a great place.

Even though hurricane Ophelia showed herself, we had a perfect stay.. the river held its own beauty, showing off whitecaps and stormy clouds. We were just as cozy as we could be on the screen porch, and loved every minute of it. Once the storm passed, we were able to fish and crab from the dock, and do well in both. Definitely one of our favorites VRBO stays and we will be back.

Our family of four enjoyed a four-day Easter weekend at this beautiful cottage. The weather on the first day was nice enough for kayaking. Kayaks are great and the river is an easy and beautiful paddle. Unfortunately, the temperatures turned cold, but we had a great time sitting on the porch, enjoying the views, and spending time together. The house is immaculately clean and given the weather, we enjoyed all the snuggly blankets. We had everything we needed for cooking and we had a great night at the firepit. I highly recommend this location and plan to visit again for a girls getaway weekend with my closest friend.

The moment we walked in, we knew we weren't going to want to leave! What a find! This place had so many amenities, was beautifully decorated and everything was comfortable! If you're a nature, water or sunset lover, THIS is the place for you! Already missing our nightly sunsets from the dock and sitting out on the huge screened in porch listening to all the sounds from nature and smelling the pines. We did a lot of sightseeing/daytrips each day but made sure to be home for the sunsets! We will definitely be back! And, we'll definitely try out the kayaks and have a fire next time around. The minute we walked in the stress melted away and calm took over. Oh and one last thing, the neighborhood was very quiet and welcoming as was the town, everyone was very friendly.

From the minute we walked through the door, we felt instant calm. This is one of my top 2 vrbo experiences ever! So clean and welcoming with so many amenities. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, you name it which was helpful since we cooked so much due to food allergies. Quiet neighborhood in a very welcoming town with so many sightseeing areas within 45 minutes. The highlight of this rental is the amazing, large screened in porch and private dock with a picnic table. We made sure we were home each evening to enjoy the sunset and then enjoy the porch listening to sounds of nature and breathing in the pine trees. While we didn't get a chance to use the firepit, kayaks, etc. we will definently be back to try everything out. The owners have truly thought of everything!
