"Comfortable hotel. Great restaurant. Friendly staff. Nice breakfasts included. If you're staying on the top floor, pack light. No joke. No elevator. It's a castle. If you're on the ground floor, public bathrooms are on every 'other' floor. Not so convenient for everyone. Great quad workout going up and down the stairs. "

Unfortunately, adherence to pandemic hygiene rules is not monitored at all in the boardinghouse and only so-so in the hotel, which made any passing through the stairways and/or elevator feel inherently unsafe. "Everything was exactly as advertised and no complaints whatsoever. Very comfortable accommodation with everything to hand. Local facilities good with food shops, bakeries and nearby restaurants. The beach and port are within easy walking distance. Rugen is a great location for a family holiday and highly recommended."
