Looks better online
Lot of things we’re broken such as an outride chair by the fire pit, no racks in dishwasher it was broken. No water pressure in shower and neighbors across the street were so loud partying all night. No privacy and neighbors are right next to you. We reserved four days but ended up checking out after one day. A lot of things were falling apart on the property. You could tell they didn’t maintain it good and then it felt like you were in a college neighborhood. Not what we were looking for, When I asked for part of a refund I was told no.

Rainy Getaway
The cabin on the river was a great place to spend a secluded weekend. We were there during the atmospheric river so we didn't get to explore the area as much as we had hoped, but the cabin came equipped with everything we needed for a rainy day. Tons of games, a smart TV, and a hot tub made it so we were never bored! The roaring river out the window was an impressive sight to see. Hopefully we'll be back in better weather to take advantage of the fire pit :)

Pictures are deceiving
NOT AS ADVERTIZED; NOT WORTH THE MONEY. I have stayed at vrbos for 20 years all over the world and have a lot of experience with many different kinds of locations and this stay was one of the worst. Felt duped. phone service is extremely spotty so don’t rely on having access in order to check in. Need gate code and door code to access which they won’t give you until day 1. RV and cabin are on either side; no fence or privacy. Noise from Highway 2 traffic, semis etc continuous, slows at night. Had to empty dishwasher to access dishes. Upside down Plastic cups with milk water inside was very disgusting. No teaspoons and very few forks or knives. No potholders, broken sink drain cup, dirt and pine needles in cupboards and no shelf liners. Deck area is very dangerous with wobbly railing and lots of areas for dogs and small children to fall; should never leave them unattended. Could not find smoke alarm. Everything is falling apart; not taken care of. No ice maker so have to do without ice or hope the person who filled the trays didn’t do anything to them. View is beautiful if you don’t mind staring at 2 dish tv discs as well. RV neighbor and dog very friendly but not intrusive. Did not use hot tub; didn’t trust the cleanliness factor given state of home. Worth half the price, if that.

Cute but could be so much better
We had a relaxing weekend on the river. There was a few things that could have been better. It was clean but smelled like dogs so we had to air it out. There was a missing light bulb, toilet rocked, shower leaked, washer and dryer was dirty (scum build up) dish washer was not mounted and water puddles in the bottom, bedroom carpet was damp and filled with stains, direct TV did not work, fishing poles provided were broke (thank goodness I brought my own because the salmon were jumping 24/7), landscape was neglected and overgrown, hot tub had a bunch of pine needles and sand. With a cleaning service that actually cleaned, disinfected and an efficient maintenance crew that fixed things properly this little cabin would be perfect. The neighbor and his dog was so sweet too and enjoyed taking about fish!!!

Positive and Negative Vacation
Positive - Nice living room and kitchen, especially the front windows and good sized table for playing cards, sketching, and other activities and a nice outdoor setting. Loved watching the outdoors with people swimming, fishing, boating and kayaking and animals across the river. Negative - only 3 of the 7 under cabinets lights were working, the bed was so high I couldn't get in (luckily I found a step-stool), leaking sprayer in kitchen sink, couldn't get the TV to work. Even the repair person couldn't. Since my husband and I are over 80 and can't do any hiking we were looking forward to seeing movies and couldn't. It was a very quite vacation since there wasn't a radio either. I would suggest a notebook with detailed instructions for the TV and other entertainment items since not everyone has these specific items and knows how to work them.

Small Space, Great Location
Very very small house. Not room for more than 4 people. We had 2 adults, 2 kids and a small dog, so we managed ok. Makes for a cozy gathering for the family I suppose. There is a lot of large rocks to climb down to get to the river bed. That is a little deceiving on the online description of property. Young children or older adults may have difficulty getting up and down to play in the water. However, for us it worked out good and the kids and dog loved going up and down the rocks. Water was cold but refreshing. Views from the backyard fire pit was exceptional and made for some super relaxing and enjoyable coffee mornings and drink evenings. Neighbor next door was friendly and kept to himself. Hot tub was relaxing. Close to Gold Bar Grocer store, roughly 10mi so easy access to additional needs while away. Would stay again.

The cabin had all the necessities for the weekend, beds were comfortable, loved the big windows to overlook the yard, River and mountains! Dog friendly! Neighbor Don was a wealth of knowledge when it came to hiking around the area! Great place!

Nice but disappointing
The location is amazing, the views wonderful. The cabin is cute but very small. Several things were in disrepair; the dishwasher is falling out of the cabinet, there is a sort of bracket, not a hook for a towel in the bathroom, and the bathroom sink didn't drain. For the price, these things should have been repaired. Also, trying to reach Vacasa was useless. You get a voicemail saying there is an unusual rate of calls, and they are trying to remedy the situation. If these things don't bother you, it's a wonderful place.

Greatr location
Perfect location and beautiful view. The prime reasons we booked the property were for scenery and hot tub. The scenery was perfect but the hot did not work. Looking at previous reviews other guests have had the same issue. It's a real shame it was not working as it spoilt our trip. We tried to contact VRBO and the owner as we could not lock the front door. When we went to bed at night I had to put a chair under the lock to secure it somewhat. No-one responded to our multiple emails.........very disappointing. If the hot tub was fixed and communication was in place we would give 5 stars, but as is 3 is the max.

Loved the cabin!!!
I loved this cabin, I would definitely stay here again. The location was amazing, the views incredible and the cabin was cozy and had everything that we could need. Dishes, coffee, plenty of extra blankets and towels. The hot tub was great! A little sandy I side but so relaxing after exploring. The Mountain View’s were stunning and we enjoyed watching kayakers play in the River. My only complaint is that I booked through VRBO and then after that my booking was sent to a company called Vacasa, there was no evidence of booking on VRBO after it was all paid, said and done. I found Vacasa in the email, then had to download that app and continue the rental process through there. I felt like it was a total switch and bait. I wasn’t pleased, there was also no contact with the owner, which would be fine but the only contact available to converse about the house was a hotline through Vacasa. At the end of the day Vacasa was fine to deal with but would not have been my first choice and was very confusing after booking through Vrbo.

Perfect mid week getaway!
Took a mid week getaway with the husband and pup. The cabin is only an hour drive from North a Seattle and perfectly placed for getting out on hikes. The cabin Is small but has a fantastic layout for being cozy indoors while enjoying the amazing view of the river and mountains whilst cooking, playing games, or even getting work done. We lucked out with some good weather and hung out by the river and in the hot tub. The neighbors RV is right next to the hot tub, but the tarp that’s hung up blocks it perfectly (plus we only saw the neighbor once and he was super nice). We loved getting a break from city life!

Cozy in Index
This property is perfect for a couple looking to get outdoors. The house itself is a little small, but cozy and comfortable. Bring your own spices and specialty cooking items- adequately stocked pots/pans and kitchen tools. The neighbors are close, but a privacy screen has been put up by the hot tub. The view is incredible and the location is central to many popular hikes in the area. We would gladly stay here again.

Great easy getaway for some rest
Great little cabin to getaway. The river is very relaxing. I would stay again. The rest of the review is more of an FYI so future guests can plan there trip accordingly or for management to make some slight improvements. -The bedroom is very small and we were just barely able to wedge a pack and play in there. Works fine tho and is comfy -There is no information on how to best regulate heat -The dish satellite didn't work. Fine with us. There is a DVD player but no DVDs. There is an old playstation with a collection of old early 2000s games. -The kitchen utensils, pots and pans are limited, so be thoughtful about what you plan to cook. Mostly on our stay there was really almost nothing to use the oven with but enough pans for the stove.

Cute and Sparse
The cabin itself was great. Small space but it fit all 6 of us perfectly fine. Be warned that the cabin comes with towels but is extremely sparse when it comes to cook supplies. Bring your own spices, oils, even salt and pepper. The satellite tv does not work so bring your own entertainment sources. Hot tub is amazing and the sitting out by the fire pit by the river was lovely.
