Standing opposite the building in the Plaza de los Golfines, you’ll see the palace’s distinctive styles. The building was constructed by the wealthy Golfin family in the 15th century. Admire the Gothic fortress-style structure of the manor. If you look closely, you’ll see ornate Renaissance and Plateresque carvings and decorations atop the main façade. These were added in the 17th century alongside the semicircular arches and elaborate crests. Note the different sized towers that flank the façade, which feature segmental arches and carved animals.

Attend a guided tour of Golfines de Abajo Palace to explore its interiors. Inside, you’ll find a light-filled atrium with pretty colonnades and stone archways, as well as the ornate Salón de los Linajes (Lineage Room).
