The house is beautiful and quirky, although if you like to cook for yourselves, the kitchen is a little short on utensils. We improvised! "This was a two night stopover to allow us to ride around the Cantel region and, in particular, the rim of the volcano (long since gone). The appearance of th hotel upon arrival gives little credit for how comfortable the rooms are and how pleasing the restaurant is. "A friendly and helpful welcome to the Hotel and soon booked into our room and explained where to park our vehicle once we had unloaded. The hotel has a very traditional feel downstairs, charming. The corridors and the rooms themselves were decorated in a very dark scheme, which even with the lights on was a little difficult to always see well. The room was large and comfortable although the bathroom was clean it was a little dated in design. The hotel restaurant was excellent with a lovely evening meal. Not the cheapest in town, but excellent quality and again, very friendly staff. "
