Unique because you are inside the park. It's dark at night with limited Lighting so bring a flashlight. Room is basic, bathroom is very small. Beds are very comfortable.

Everything was good, except, in the rooms there were no comfortable chairs to relax in and watch TV. I don't like laying on the bed to watch TV. In addition I would prefer a small table and chairs to sit at instead of the tall bar chairs.

We stayed for 2 nights in mid-Dec. Place is very close (4 mins drive) to Mather Point /Grand Canyon Visitor center. Mather point has very nice sun-rise and sun-set views, so this place makes it convenient to reach there early. Visitor center has huge parking place, so good to go there for star-gazing too. Rooms are clean, warm and has parking just opposite to them. They are about 200 meters from the main reception /restaurant area. There are few village shops also close by. Overall, a good choice for stay in the park.

I checked in after 6pm and it was dark all around not enough guidence to reach the room/property and not able to Identify the room other than my Car headlights no other lights/ signs available and the Bathrooms doesn't have the exhaust which makes it all wet and humid.

As of Dec. 6, The red shutter bus was not running and we can drive into view points. but the staff was still told us cannot drive and explained the shutter bus. We realized no red bus when we boarded the blue bus. It wasted time.

It’s def a lodge/dorm feel. There is no internet and their ice machine wasn’t working. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The food court and cafe was nice and friendly. And you can hang out in the lobby if you need internet, it’s a different building that you’ll need to drive to. To find your building you’ll def need a flashlight at night. The bathrooms and rooms are def not luxury but do the job for the night I guess. I wouldn’t want to stay for more than a night or two myself. Def great for campers and such.
