"We stayed for 3 nights and wished it was a week. The apartment was as comfortable and the view as beautiful as advertised. We did not have a car But it was easy to get to and from the lovely town of Varenna by cab. Marco was a very gracious and helpful host I highly recommend this property. "

"It was very cute and homely, however the interior design was a little bit outdated but nothing which impacted the stay. The initial directions given were a little bit confusing but once we asked the reception we were guided to the right path. It’s a lovely location with an amazing gelato store very close by as well as a gorgeous church nearby. There are many amenities such as a washer and drying rack and a fully equipped kitchen. "

"Everything about the house is fantastic with great views across Lake Como. The hosts, Danielle and Marco were flgreat and greeted us upon arrival. We were very spoilt with a bottle of bubbly and delicious snacks. The house was a little further out of Varenna than we thought, but we love to walk and we think we left fitter than when we arrived. We would definitely recommend staying at El Lavandee."

"The property is very very tired, we had lots of problems including a smashed glass door, broken blinds preventing the use of the balcony, broken pool lights, all very dangerous for children. "We booked a last minute stay at this hotel for New Years Eve. We booked two rooms, and both were upgraded to have a lake view, and the hotel was kind enough to give us connecting rooms since we were there with our two tween sons. The hotel was in a PERFECT - PERFECT location!! The rooms were comfortable and had balconies. We would have had a perfect spot to watch all of the NYE fireworks, if not for the fact that our sons wanted to be on the lakefront. :) I absolutely recommend this hotel for a stay in Como!!!"
