"The lodge was perfect. Spotlessly clean and pretty and everything you could need. However what made our holiday absolutely perfect was the garden the lodge is set in. Stunningly beautiful, magical grounds that you could see from all sides of the lodge. With a folly perfect for an outdoor fire and BBQ. Central to all of the North East and Durham attractions. I have been twice now and can’t wait to go again. Magical!"

"I was staying for 3 weeks , when I arrived I had to contact the people to get the access code as they did not send it as I had an overseas contact number . If I had arrived after dark you would never find the key box as there is no lighting in the area where access is. The lounge suite was comfortable but the dining chairs are old and the coating peeling off and lands on the floor bed was ok .There were 2 wardrobes but none had hanging rails in them . "Bit of a bumpy start. Check in 45 minutes later after being given our key to a family room that had not been cleaned at all. And the other 2 rooms not ready either.
